#245 I/O Available
I have #245 I/O in Alberta Canada available if anyone is looking. I imported it from Indiana so it could quite easily be sent back south of the border. 12k miles. Davenport Motorsports Tune. Lingenfelter Intake. B&B Bullets. Send me a PM if you'd like to discuss.

Air damn
Hi Guys, Anybody know the purpose of the air damn mounted to the rad cradle? I can see the part above where it mounts may help direct air thru the rad, but I can't see any purpose for the portion that hangs down below the cradle. I am wondering if removing it would do anything to improve airflow under the car.

That's the whole point, you don't want air flowing under the nose of the car, creating lift.
Not sure what issue it is causing, but you shouldn't remove it.

Thanks for the reply. I had watched a video on the LG motor sports site on their side skirts and front splitter.thier skitter has a flat underside that extends back in the center . They made the statement that the airdam needed to be removed for installation and was not necessary.

The point being, IF you have an extended under tray, which is building a bit of down-force (ideally, you'd want the entire bottom of the car closed in with flat panels), then I would agree on the removal.
But just removing it for the heck of it, with the stock aero pieces in place, I don't agree (GM did put it there for a reason; tumbling air under the car is worse than no air I suppose).
There are a few good books published on automotive aero, fascinating stuff.

Racer
These Carbons were made for the track so I'm sure that's why they put the ZR1 intake and cooling. If your going to track your car I say do it.

I'm sure there is, but how much of a difference? Maybe a few HP. I know the 2011 Z06s produce about 5-10 hp more than any other years but I'm sure that's contributed more from the exhaust on the 2011s going from a h to x pipe and having less cads.

Carbon Zs put out 550hp with the changes made during production.

Not on a Mustang, but on a local Dynojet that consistently posts approx. 460 for Z06's, mine put down 473, bone stock down to the filter.
