Do all C6 Z06's have the dual mode (flapper) exhaust?
And since my LS3 didn't come with the dual mode exhaust I am going to buy a used Z06 exhaust and am curious if I need to look for a particular year or not to get the dual mode exhaust.
Also, since my car didn't come with the dual mode exhaust, I assume that once the Z06 exhaust is installed on my car, the flappers are open by default since the vacuum lines will not be installed?
Thanks guys!

If you install a Z06 axleback the flaps will stay open until you add vacuum lines and an elec. switch to close them.

Thanks for the info fellas!
I'm okay with the flaps staying open. And I am putting on all Z06 components from the exhaust manifolds back so there is no welding/cutting required. It's all direct bolt on.

If i'm not mistaken, the dual mode exhaust came out with the 08 Z's. Yes, in order to put the Z06 exhaust on your LS3, you need to replace the exhaust manifolds all the way to the back of the car. Its not real difficult just time consuming.
Is there a reason you just dont add the npp exhaust to your LS3? My NPP coupe and convertible are both a bit louder than my Z06 NPP exhaust, if thats what you are after.
