Possible build setup for sale (trying to figure out market value)
I am debating a setup change and trying to see where I would be at if I sold the parts from my current build. Car made 620/570 with this setup n/a on E85. Debating selling the car completely or parting it out to start over with a fresh build for boost. Not sure which is the best avenue to try.
Engine: Freshly rebuilt 427ci LS7 engine w/ forged Mahle pistons (stock style), stock crank, stock rods (pinned), ARP hardware, Clevite bearings, 24-28 ring gap for nitrous (never sprayed on).
Heads: WCCH 13.8:1 high compression heads with bronze valve guides (intake and exhaust), SS exhaust valves, stock Ti intake valves.
Cam/Spring: Black Widow cam kit with extreme dual springs, retainers, etc...
Injectors: 83# short body injectors
Intake Manifold: FAST 102mm ported/painted/shaved intake manifold (Machine Silver).
Throttle Body: NW102 TB
Headers: American Racing 1 7/8" Longtube headers w/o cats
Exhaust: Stock C6Z catback with muffler mod and mild2wild
Intake: Halltech Killer Bee II CAI w/ beehive
Clutch: McLeod RXT twin disc clutch and flywheel
Shifter: Hurst short shift kit with round black shiftknob
All mods have roughly 1000 miles on them except the mufflers which have 20k miles or so.

or I guess this could all be priced out as a Long block with the engine, heads, cam, gaskets, etc...and then sell the bolt on parts separately like the headers, FAST, clutch, etc...
I will start pricing out the new idea and I'll see if this makes any actual sense to do or not.

This is not a for sale ad....I'm just trying to get the opinions from others who may know what a fresh long block is worth or what kind of price these main parts could expect to get individually. I am not too worried about getting prices for headers, FAST, etc..those parts are fairly easy to value.

Dude! You just put on the drag pack! Dont you want to see what it'll do?
Back on subject, I'm sure someone would love to buy the long block as is instead of doing their own build. I'd bet you could even work out a deal with a buyer for their stock LS7, assuming you're not looking for a whole new LSX block.

yea whats up with that!!! just Keep it and enjoy it for a while lol
I would say its really hard to put a price on it. the problem with some people here is that they alway want to get a crazy deal (which is understandable sometimes, heck I even do that LOL)
you need to find a buyer who is interested in your setup. I would guess you can sell the short block easier. the heads alone. the intake by itself... etc!! but for the long block, I think you just need to wait for the right buyer who wants a similar setup!!
I dont really know what would be a good price to start with, but you will def lose some money even though its freshly built! GL and hope some other people will be more helpful

I also have a NA car making the same poweras you. Are you sure you want to boost the car? You are prabably traction limited right now. Seems like a lot of effort and money when you already have a great running N/A car. Have you considered spraying the car using a progressive system, since you have forged pistons...you may be safe spraying hard. Just my 2 cents.

This is the first N/A car I've ever owned and it's fun...just debating something different. Trying to see what kind of price I could try and ask for the short block and for the heads.

you're best bet is to probably call one of the shops you have exeriance with and just get an estimate from them of what a build like that would sell for. in fact, them may even know of someone who'd want to buy it. That's how i bought most of my NANO kit, i got my brakes that way too from someone who placed an order then backed out.

My engine would work for boost, but my heads and cam will not. But my engine is probably going to be limited to under 1000hp, but who knows. I do know that if I decide to go with boost, I will need to swap heads to lower the compression and change cams, mine is a bit too large with too much overlap.
So if anyone is looking to go E85 with high compression 13.8:1 and wants to work a deal out on a swap, let me know.

Man, you change your mind almost as much as I do.
Good luck with whatever you decide.
My car with be under the knife for awhile, too. Headed out to Louisiana tomorrow. Except I am going the opposite direction (milder cam).
