Never seen a picture guide but there are several written ones if you look around. Pretty much get the crank pulley off (drop cradle or pull rack). Then pull the timing cover, oil pump, timing gear etc. Pull the rocker arms, pushrods out. Spin the cam to get the lifters up in the trays. Pull the old cam out, put the new one in. Reassemble.

very straight forward install, just make sure you have all the propper tools to do the job and you wont run into any snags, i installed my black mamba myself and it was not bad at all, i recomend pinning the crank while you are in there in case you ever go supercharged then the hard part is done

Shops I've seen normally charge $800-1100 for a cam install depending on what else is done. Atleast that is what I've seen.

Great help on here!!
I've just taken the plunge and ordered up my cam and all the goodies. Sadly, I've got no choice but to install the cam myself. Talked to 3 tune shops in my area and they are quoting $3,000.00+ for the install. They say the motor has to come out for the cam install......25 hours worth of labor.
Hey Catchmes2000, would you mind listing out what additional parts you needed for the project? Not so much the aftermarket stuff, but any additional stuff other than what I've got listed
- Valve cover gaskets
- Timing cover gasket
- Crank bolt
Any problems with the oiling system on these LS7's.??
