Default Black z06 505 hp fender emblems??

Do they exist? I can't find them. I only found carbon fiber emblems (that look black) for a ridiculous $288. Anyone know of ones that are black/mostly black for a decent price?

Sorry , you feel that way , I taught $250.00 was alot too. till I seen them . I would pay $500.00 for them the quality is that good. I paid over $100,000.00 for my 2007 Z06 up here in Canada, and I think you get what you pay for , can't see myself put a cheap set on my car .

Did mine a couple of weeks ago, was a bit of a PITA to get the yellow in the 505HP, but very happy with how they came out. I Saw another member who colored in the Z red and just painted over the rest of the emblem, including the 505 HP in black, which basically made it invisible. To me the 505 HP is the best part of the emblem. It was well worth the trouble to get it right. I learned a couple of tricks along the way, so if anyone is interested send me a PM and I'll walk you through the process. Sorry for the lousy pic, can't wait for some warmer weather so I can put the emblems back on. I too had a big problem with paying $288.

How are the stock ones fastened to our cars? If its just a bolt then I'll just have mine removed and painted...

Actually painting mine as I post this, should have them on tommorow or Sunday, there are held on by Double sided adhesive, the holes under the emblem are just for placement reference, I just painted them all black, taped off the Z and did it in red and did a flat clear coat on the whole emblem, fairly simple.. As far as the 505hp part tho I just left it black, to hard to get red again. Plus how many of us really still have 505. I know I don't

All you need to do is take an artist brush, some red paint and just paint it generously over the indented 505HP so it gets down into the grooves. Then take a damp rag and just wipe off the excess red paint from around the numbers. The red in the grooves will stay. Just use something that doesn't dry too fast. I initially tried mine with Chevy VY paint, but it dries too quickly and did not wipe away. I tried again with yellow rustoleum. It dries very slowly and it is very easy to wipe away. The 505 HP lettering is so thin no one can see the difference between the VY in the Z and the yellow rustoleum in the 505 HP. The same should follow if using red or any other color, I would think.

Sorry, no pics on the car yet, as still too cold here in the N.E.

I didn't know they were held on with tape like the GM Chicklets.

I may remove mine and paint them black and do the lettering with my GM JSB touchup paint.

Actually they are a lot easier to remove than the chicklets, Howie. Dental floss worked very nicely.
