Lunati LS Dual Valve Spring Kits
The LS Dual Valve Spring Kits come complete with dual valve springs, retainers, spring locators, locks and valve seals that are ready for drop-in installation on many popular LS applications. Using a Signature Series Valve Spring, Lunati engineers have developed new wear-favorable, lightweight alloy steel retainers and locators. These designs prevent* chafing in the spring pockets of aluminum heads, making the combination unbeatable for both serious performance street and drag racing. Other features include:
• Locks equipped with inner bead locks; 7° interference angle between locks and retainers causes the locks to clamp valve stems more tightly
• Valve seals are made from Viton synthetic rubber and are steel jacketed to guarantee seals remain tight around guides and are protected from springs
• Viton material is ideal for resisting heat and aggressive racing oil additives that cause swelling and distortion

BT Racing LS Dual Valve Spring Kits
Brian Tooley, formerly of TEA, has come out with several dual valve spring kits for LS cylinder heads. With years of experience in LS cylinder head design, Brian now offers the ultimate dual valve spring kits for LS cylinder heads.
The LS Platinum Dual Valve Spring Kit features Polished inner and outer springs, matching titanium retainers, locators, seals and locks. On completely stock heads the springs setup at 160 lbs @ 1.770” installed height, 380 lbs @ .600” lift and 400 lbs @ .650” lift and coil bind at 1.070"
This dual valve spring kit is designed for use with stock rocker arms. Open pressure in endurance applications should be limited to 400 lbs or the valve tips can be damaged. This kit uses OEM locks, stock locks allow valve stem rotation which helps the durability of the valve tips.
The LS Max Pressure Dual Valve Spring Kit is designed for heavier roller rockers. They check at 160 lbs @ 1.800”, 420 lbs @ .600” lift and 450 lbs @ .650” lift and coil bind at 1.100". These dual valve spring kits feature excellent durability in maintaining spring pressure.
This dual valve spring kit is designed for use with roller rocker arms, or track only combinations using stock rocker arms. This kit uses OEM locks, stock locks allow valve stem rotation which helps the durability of the valve tips.

OK so I guess the question was asked and maybe answered but I'm not that knowledgeable about the answer. I'm getting ready to have my stock heads redone to avoid the dropped valved anguish. Which springs here would be good for replacement of the stock springs? One's that will not place a strain on stock components?

In your research how much would a head/valve job with spring replacement cost?
Or -- even going simpler - how much would a shop charge just to disassemble down to the heads and check for valve guide wear?

Nice of you to post any deals -- but would be even nicer if some of the questions asked here could get answered.
People are more apt to buy a spring kit if they know it will help solve any issues they might be worried about.

Manley NexTek Valve Springs
Manley valve springs are wound from super clean alloy. Each design minimizes stress to ensure long service life with high lift camshafts. Retainers are manufactured in our own double spindle CNC machines to exacting tolerances and precise installed height specifications. Locators are manufactured in our own CNC lathes. Heat treated and black oxided after machining. Valve locks are manufactured in our own Swiss turning centers with rigid control over the all-important angle to ensure precise mating with the retainer.
