C6zo6 tips the scale @ 2980lbs!!!!
Stock with 17x11 wheels/et streets on rear-3120.
Kooks headers, no cats, Borla stingers, Textralia clutch, nittos(front), mt 345 drs(rear)-3080lbs
Yesterday I shed some more lbs by adding and removing parts-
Deka ext18 battery(18lbs) -17lbs
Acp wc hood(22lbs) -5lbs
Amp, subwoofer, speaker box -40lbs
Nitrous plate, solenoids, lines -5lbs
Added 18x10.5 c5z rear wheels/315mt drs(49lbs) -22lbs
I went to the same local truck stop for all the tests. Didn't think they were accurate-who knows. Now I figured I would be 2995-3000lbs. When I got the slip, I figured their scales were bs, as it read 15-20lbs lighter @2980.
Here's why i think it could be " maybe" accurate- my rear tire setup. At 3080lbs was running a 345 mt dr/18x12 HOW repro weighing 69lbs a piece. Stock 19x11 rears/345 invos weigh 59lbs a piece. New setup is 49lbs a piece. So the extra 20ish lbs could be from that as I ditched the MT dr 345s well over a year. So instead of saving 22lbs, it's more like 40lbs.
I could get real crazy and....
Ditch borlas for straight pipes
Pass seat delete
Drivers race seat
Coleman 2 piece rotors
I think 2900lbs could be in reach. Car is makin 565/519. It hooks, and with the shorter tire the hit is hard @ 60 mph in 2nd.
Halltech cf halo/pilar,Katech hatch, and coilovers are out of the question!!!

*1/8 tank of gas*
I think 2920lb is very doable with straight pipes, pass seat delete and front rotors. I thought of skinnies, but I will never run them on the street/highway.
If I do keep the car, Im going to retune on 100 octane in the spring for hopefully 575rwhp/525tq@2920lbs

definitely do the coleman rotors - you'll lose almost 30lbs of rotating mass by doing all four rotors (around $1200 for the set): with improvements in handling, braking and acceleration.
This is my #1 mod right now, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet due to the cost (and the wife unit).

works fine. Just have to change the terminals.
*just found my notes from December, the deka battery saved me 17.5lbs over my Bosch battery*

Drifting
You can lose nearly 17 pounds if you delete both sway bars. Don't remove the front and leave the rear as it will induce a lot of oversteer if you get squirrelly. Tons of guys here jumped on me for this saying that I was going to kill myself because the car won't handle. As near as I remember, I was the only one who actually tried it and the car is just fine, thank you. Also, instead of just removing the passenger seat, move it to the driver side and remove the driver seat. Probably worth another 15 pounds over just removing the passenger seat. It will also reduce the left/right weight bias a little away from the left side. The left side of the car is overloaded in my opinion. It could be what is causing our cars to yaw under wheelspin. Then there are the wipers/motor, windshield washer tank, ect. Remember, even small amounts, when added together, make a difference.

The driver seat must weigh about 75 lbs. I could not believe how heavy it was when I put in my sound deadener kit. Yea I also installed an amp, speaker box with 2 twelves. Probably gained 150 lbs.
