Default Is dealer asking price 39,900 in line, for a 43k mile z06?

I'm looking at a 2007 Lmb 2lz z06 with 43,000 miles on it. The dealer is asking 39,900, is that a good starting point. It seems a little high.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

$35,739. is what I came up w/ on Edmonds.com and that wasn't countin the mileage. Just punched in the yr, make & model to get the price listed.

Good luck,
Don

Default sale

In the real world ( not Edmonds) I got 43.8 for my 07 Z 2 mos ago. I did have only 11k miles. I find that Edmonds is super low on prices and does not reflect the actual prices being received for these cars. Kelly Blue Book is a little more realistic. I do not know of any dealer in Calif that uses Edmonds. I used to deal in used cars and also bought at auctions. KBB price for good condition is app $41000. That mileage is less than 10000 miles per year which is excellent in the used car market. Dealer probably got car for wholesale at approx around 36 grand.... Mike

For a dealership (especially) that is a fair STARTING point in my opinion if the car CHECKS OUT, and has a clean service history, no accidents, paint repairs, etc.

If they are asking $39,900 you can probably snag it for $36K which is a very fair deal in my humble opinion (if the car checks out).

Thanks.
I'm just not sure, because of the mileage. I'm ready to buy, I just can't make my mind whether to buy a high mile car for less or another 07 with only 8k for 46k. any thoughts

09s with 20k miles are going for 45k so I would say no. I think 35k is a better price.

in my experience i dont see getting much off of the Z depending on the dealership.

i bought an 07 LMB Z06 a few months back with 47k on it for 38,9. so its close to me.. if its the car u want its worth paying for it

Used Z06's are pretty hot sellers right now, so they may not budge too much on the price.

The price seems to be pretty good for a dealer. 3 months ago I purchased an 06Z with 47k for 38k from a forum member.

The car with 43K miles is probably a better deal. It is still a low mile car but has been driven enough to get infant mortality issues wrung out by prior owners. Depending on the In Service Date of the 8K mile car it could have been driven just a little over 1K miles per year which means there could be infant mortality issues still in the car.

Extreme low mile used cars are not a good deal. Essentially, you are buying a new car without a warranty. Would you pay more to buy a brand new 5 mile car from a manufacturer if it came without a warranty? That is essentially what you are doing when you buy a 7 year old extremely low mile car.

Nope 09. There is one on ebay right now for 49k list 20k (28k miles actually i was mistaken) miles saw one for 46k with 40k miles iirc. I cant prove mine as they arent advertised prices but its what they are going for in my area if you push. I used to sell cars so I tend to get bottom dollar info locally with a few phone calls. This winter with the c7 looming im selfishly hoping the bottom falls out of the market with a glut of used z06s being traded/sold for c7s.

EDIT: got out of the gym so i can post links now, its a pain on my phone
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1Owne...t_68537wt_1165
1LZ 2009 with HUD and cf trim 40k miles 47.5k OBO

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Heads...#ht_7707wt_881
1lz i think 2009 HUD bose etc 29k miles 49.8k BIN

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2009-...#ht_982wt_1165
same 2009 etc with corsa, zr1 sideskirts K&n intake 49.5 OBO 28k miles

These are list prices and ebay tends to be thousands high in my experience of what people will actually take for two reasons. 1 its a list price and there is always room under and 2 ebay fees are high so they have to be covered in the said price. These cars arent selling either. They have been listed repeatedly.

A 07 with 43k Miles... Is worth $35K ... I think.

Ive also been lurking around and looking at various prices and i think $35k for that car IF its in good condition is a GOOD DEAL... I seen a 07 on Autotrader a while back with around the same mileage for 38k OBO , i think that car sold for $34.8 ... Just a Heads up !

Good Luck with the Purchase ! These are BAD *** machines !

I know where an 08 z06 with 10k miles is for high 40's. I believe in low miles. Its perfect condition as well. All clean and will check out. Id much rather have less wear/tear with this kind of car. It you were buying a civic the miles wouldn't matter but for timing belt.
