Default Just ordered 440" from LMR , What are the nastiest heads to compliment it?

Can't spend any more time debating it, so just ordered a LS7 Based 440" from Late Model Racecraft, does anyone have the same setup and what heads flow the best? what rwhp can I expect??? I am currently have a H/C on stock block, I'm pretty sure when I switch the engine out, I'll also have a N20 set up installed, will be hitting the track!!!

I have a 447" RHS Block in my car. It is in the shop currently getting a new head/cam swap. I have decided to go with high compression 13:8:1 WCCH (and E85) and a big cam 249/262. Should be hitting the dyno on Saturday.

I have heard good things about Mast heads too. Not much help, but I will chime in when I have more info. Problem is...I am in Colorado and things are different up here.

Maybe read up on Mast, AFR 245s (you would need a cathedral port fast102), or the All Pro heads from WCCH.

Ps I'm extremely jealous of u lol

383ystrim, Isn't your RHS a tall deck? I believe your setup is a little different! still interested in your numbers! what numbers where you at? and why change? E85?

E85=cheap race gas that burns cooler than pump. Going to allow him to get away with running that high of compression without having to run 100+octane which is very pricey nowadays

I was at 560/551 at huge elevation. E85 is where it is at in my opinion. I will not take my car on long trips and probably won't do too much drag racing either. Mostly going to show and enjoy it. Might do some pulls locally. Air and fuel make power. I am planning on pushing the air N/A so I want good fuel. In colorado we only have 91 octane at the pumps. I didn't want to risk it to detenation.

I have witnessed it first hand with my 1000rwhp Mustang. E85 vs C16... E85 is the s**t! PERIOD! There is no other way for what i want to do.

I will keep you posted.

I'm running TFS 245's. I believe that the intake is the limiting factor, not the heads.

Looks like the closest to you would be in Waterford.

TSP heads are nice.

You could also look into Advanced Induction LS7 port as well as WCCH, ALL Pro's and of course the MAST if you want to stay with an LS7 top-end are two VERY SOLID choices but are more coin. If 600rwhp ~ 7000-7200rpm's is the goal on motor then a FAST 102mm will be fine. Anything MUCH higher than that you are gonna have to spend some serious dough.

GL!

The TEA's are a different animal (awesome numbers and result though) and require a different type of cam profile and I believe they are not LS7 specific so require a different manifold. Keep that in mind.

E 85 is not a option, waterford is a bit distance for gas!!as far as a intake, I have a FAST 102, LT Headers, BB Fusion, LS9R Clutch, Halltech SuperBee Carbon Fiber Set up, and many other bolt ons, I would like to take my time and get the best heads I can buy, seems no one is chiming in on the LMR???Am I missing something, I was led to believe they would be a excellent choice for a motor????also, Ozidian, what is TEA'S?????

I was going to use Brodix LS7 heads but now thinking about going with Mast LS7 heads since I have been told those are the best that you can get (LS7 intake). I have a 441ci. lowering the compression to around 11.8 (used to be at ~14.0 to 1). I will still run E85 but its nice to have the choice of switching to pump gas if and when needed.

I used to be at 618whp/583wtq N/A SAE corrected at 5500+ft elevation. with the new cam/heads we are hoping to hit the same numbers or maybe higher. we wil find out in 2 weeks.

not sure what you mean?? you already ordered it so its too late to get opinions haha. but you are in good hands. LME builds all LMR's engine I believe. I have never dealt with LMR personally but we had great success with LME's engines (which again I think who is going to build your short block through LMR)

Aren't they the same company, maybe just a different division of the company? Even on LMRs dyno vids you can see LME posters all over lol.

I think you are right. I just wasn't 100% sure if they were. Late model racecraft and late model engines.

sometimes there are things that come up where a builder is really busy or he have issues where he cant return calls fast. I have seen this happen to me and few people I know. usually I try to give them 2-3 days but if I dont hear back after that then I get mad. I understand that they might be busy but not returning calls/emails for over 3 days is kinda a long time (when it comes to a bus). that might cause the shop to lose customers (even if they are good at what they do, at least to me) but I guess its up to you on how much you are patient or how much you like that shop.
