Default What should i Buy????07-09 gt500 or c6 z06

I just sold my supercharged base c6 cause ive wanted a z06 for a while cause of the widebody....ive started looking and ive seen the potential for hp with the gt500's. What is my best bet?? Im looking for the best combo of price, reliability, and bang for the buck. Opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Btw its gonna only be driven like twice a week as a fun car.

You know what forum you are in, right? Even though HP of the Mustangs is up there the handling is not even in the ballpark of a Z06.

I guess it would depend on what your intended usage is......profiling, or track use. However, I am surprised that you would choose to ask such a retorical question here on the C6 Z06 board. Can't you guess the answer

After you owning a SC vette, I don't think you're gonna like a Mustang...

I have a cammed Z06 with 50k miles on it. No issues. No way would I be happy with a GT500 at any HP level.

Why would you care what we think anyways?

Get what YOU want, not what the forum thinks you would like.

You mean the '13. And I don't care how much HP it has, or what body kit it has, it is still a heavy, muscle car, with a ton of V6 variants out there.

Get the the real sports car.

If you want a mustang, but the gt500. If you don't, buy the Z. I had an '03 Cobra with tons of suspension and drivetrain work to it, my Z makes it feel like a joke comparatively. The two cars aren't even in the same ballpark on any level in my opinion. I'd say drive both and decide for yourself, you'll know.

Anyone can do cheap HP, but lighter/more advanced chassis development is another thing. Not to mention, the most expensive thing to do. Check curb weights first, as the ZO6's chassis, isn't exactly based off a $20K econo car. On the track, light years difference between the two cars.
