Yup always detail the door jams and all hidden areas .
Then I tape a Q tip to a small stick wet it with detail spray and clean all the brake dust off and around the door hinges and surrounding area. When you open the door it still looks brand new and feels good. I also detail the carbon floor underneath the car .

Many similarities between wives and cars: exterior, overheating, high-reving, poor-starting, maintenance, needing lube...

I wax everything........sometimes even the windshield so if I ever get caught in the rain, wipers aren't even needed. So in summary, in my case, everything 'red' gets waxed plus the occasional glass. Get wifey a hobby

I dont wax those areas because they rarely are exposed, but I do keep them clean.

Using a Cal. Duster is fine, provided it's used the "right" way.

My car is clean but not immaculate. I enjoy driving the Z06 or racing the bracket car and that doesn't leave time for waxing doorjambs.

I do all the painted parts, wheels, and I even protect all the moldings and Windows. But I don't use that overpriced Zaino.

California duster is one of the worst things you can use if you have driven your car then dust it before taking it out again. Only time its "safe" is if the car has not left the garage since last being washed and the duster has never been used improperly. Meaning ever used on a car not being driven since last wash
