Default 07 z06 head issue?

Since I have an 07, can I be affected by the valve guide issues going on? I saw the post up top and it says 08-11. Just making sure that I dont have anything to worry about!

Can be a problem will all heads including after Feb 2011 when GM said they were doing 100% inspection but newer replacements have failed (guides out of spec) in as little as 400 miles.

my advice to z06 buyers would be to get a stock z06 with remaining warranty and then extend the warranty until the engine mess gets figured out.

Regardless what year or mileage park it untill heads are fixed or in my case at 7000 mi. upgraded to mast heads. New ls7s are $14000 my heads were around 3000. but there are much cheaper fixes.

If it weren't for Darkbluez, sebast, and ratt g having a low ET war I'd be done with corvetteforum. Seeing the same valve crap over and over is getting old.

Absolutely freaking ridiculous the repetive nature of one thread after the other, to the point of ad-nauseum, all leading to the same place.

It's called: extended warranty.

I've got $80 K + invested and I think I have a right to be concerned about my engine cashing it in after my warranty runs out. The car is now worth about $40k and if I buy a new engine, I would loose $60k if I sold it. Maybe I could drive it into a river.

What quality control??
