Default Battery

Original delco battery died one week since last outing. Dont know why except it was 4years old. Replaced with yellow optima, only problem is width.Got an adjustable hold down. Now i need longer hold down rods. I know its late for reviews, thought 900 cca would be better then 600. Alt. is charging like mad.

4 years is not bad for a battery.....I have got to be getting close myself.....08....but will probably stick with Delco as I have no complaints .....

d35 $205 with $20 coupon at advance, i initially thought it was 900 cca because of the online description from advance. I was in a bind, what a pain, now i know how important the little key is. After i read your question i saw only 620 cca 770c.a. and 48 a.h.

CCA really isn't an important number, as 600 is plenty. 48AH is the drain down rating at room temperature. If you're draining the the battery at 1 amp sitting there doing nothing, will take 48 hours until completely dead. Me, I just run Advance or Autozone Golds, for the 3 year replacement. Can't see, getting any better than this.

Same battery I'm running in my Vette, and the Advance series 90 I'm running in another car, is identical. Interstate Mega-Trons are excellent also, but wouldn't break my neck getting one over an Autozone or Advance. Know a couple guys that own indepedent repair shops, and sell lot's of Interstates.

Is the Interstate 90 T/5 a direct drop in with no hold down modifications or cable stretching?

Leftlane Z06 I hate to break to you,but the company that makes batteries for Autozone makes them for Interstate.Autozone has a new battery for the Z, I think its a T-5 DLG it has a handle and alittle more power then the 90DLG with the same warrenty. That is the battery I am going to get when my OEM goes bad.

Due to the 20% online coupon (still there), I went with the Advance Auto "AutoCraft Gold" 90/T5, direct drop in with a built-in handle, has the hole for the vent hose on the right (passenger) side. $125 minus the 20%. Ordered it online to get the discount, picked up at local store. 3 year free replacement (I thot it had a 7 year warranty overall, but can no longer find that info at the website). No affiliation.

Its getting to be battery time for my z - at about 3 1/2 years. I won't screw with trying to eek out another year or 2 out of what came in the car. -- Checked autozone and none around me carry them. it looks like they have 2. one that vents on the outside, and I guess one that is sealed with no venting. I think that one is the t-5dlg with more power.

Strange most Autozones around you don't stock series 90 batteries, as common in several cars now. The 90DLG is all you need, and very good quality. My daily car has an Advance 90/T5 in it, so maybe check there. I buy lots of stuff from Advance, as mentioned 20% off for online ordering. They sometimes run specials on credits up to $50 for your next order too. Did this a few times.
