Default Oil pressure and coolant temp

Hi all I'm a new owner of a z06, just got few question about oil pressure
Mine cold start 55-60-65 psi. Oil temp 60
Warm idle 35-40 psi. Oil temp around 100
How ever hot idle I see lowest around 22psi oil temp 180-190
I know it's kind off low but light rev it's back up to 45-50 psi instant, highway 6th gear 75mph around 47-50 psi
Do Coolant temp effect oil psi cause I noticed when coolant temp around 220 and oil temp 170 I see 22 oil psi but when coolant 190 oil temp 185 I see 29-30 psi.what do you guys think. Thanks

What MY Z06? What oil?

The high oil pressure at cold start is typical. I have not noticed my oil pressure vary with water temp, but it certainly does with oil temp. Your (moderately) hot oil pressure at idle is on the low side, but GM doesn't get concerned unless it goes down to 7 PSI at idle. Hot highway oil pressure is about where mine runs, too.

Your idle oil pressure is more than enough to keep the engine happy and since it builds normally with rpm I would not worry about it unless it keeps dropping.

the low pressure when hot is kinda on the low side. any lower and i would say something isnt quite right. how many miles? mods? how long have you had this car? last oil change?

I have the car for a year been like this since I had it, car has 22k miles last oil change 3 months ago. Everything look normal except for the hot low oil psi idle, like I said hot idle at 22 psi give it a light rev goes up to 47-50 psi right away. Beside that everything is perfect loving it. Should I be worry. Thanks guys

I saw 17 PSI at idle with the M1 5W-30 oil temp at 260* in my 09. Now I run M1 0W40 and have 22 PSI at 260* oil temp at idle.

I indicated earlier that the warning light on our Z's comes on a 7 PSI and unless it is that low, GM won't do anything about it

Did you mean coolant temp of 260*, or did your oil actually reach 260? My oil temp never goes above 150. Coolant temp always is higher for me, but maybe I'm just confused.

260F is doable after a track day. I get around 220F during my autocross events.

Given how you drive your car (as described in your other thread) it doesn't surprise me you haven't gotten even close to 200 or above 150. You just aren't stressing the motor enough to create that heat. When its cold and just cruising down the freeway at 1500rpm, it will settle around 140-150F.

Oil temp to 260* on HPDE events in less than 15 minutes, one of the reasons I changed to M1 0W-40. Coolant temps in that situation is 210-220*.

For street driving I see oil temps of 80-100* above ambient but usually not above 160* unless I am in stop and go traffic.
