[Z06] pebbles in lower sill

You're welcome.
Personally I think this solution is better:
http://www.nakidparts.com/id22.html
I just used some weather stripping from Home Depot to fill in the gap from the wheel well to the quarter panel.
This would eliminate the source of the rocks, rather than just stopping them from falling all the way down to your lower sill.
If you follow the TSB you'll have about 5 lbs of rocks accumulate inside your panel. Doesn't seem kosher to me.

Just to say, I have a Base Z51 2007 and had plenty of rocks and dirt coming out of that spot last time I washed it. I sprayed water up that crack until no dirt came out, took a while. So it's not just wide bodied vettes

Both methods will work OK but the TSB prevents anything getting into the external gap so the GM fix is actually better. Those inner guards move around an awful lot with the wind and water buffeting but that has no effect on the GM fix because the panel is bolted in place onto the foam strip.

Only took me 20 minutes to do this.
Was surprised how much build up was caught in there. I figured it was the two or three visible pebbles.
I used the 1" foam weatherstrip suggested.

I had the car up on my race ramps doing some work today and thought I would take a stab at this while I was still going.
This is what 65,000 miles of crap looks like:
Thanks for the tips!

I got you all beat, had like a pound of dirt in there!!! And that's not even all of it. There was packed up dry mud in there, so I had to scrub with a wet rag for 5 minutes till I got everything out of there.

the solution we hit upon was to use seam sealer, use a liberal amount to fill the gap above the tire, thats the entry point for all the crap that accumulates, seam sealer fills the gap and is flexible, easy to remove if needed, easy to re apply. A friend of mine who is a paint and body guy recommended this method and it works very well, takes about 30 minutes to solve the problem. I'm taking my fender wells out of the rear of my car to add some insulation to deaden tire noise. I could take pics of what we did if anyone is interested

I had this same problem and it's an eye sore. I took my pressure washer and hit the open space pushed all debris back out.

Noticed this on my C6 Z and didn't realize it was an issue. Gonna let my pebbles simmer a few more miles and hope they turn to diamonds.
