The Cleartastic is much easier to apply, can be removed just as easily and is noticeably thicker. It's also much cheaper.

However, unlike a clear bra, it's easily spotted from a few feet away.

Thanks spicytuna, but I think he was talking about the new Cleartastic Plus film. (which are the kits above).
Outstanding protection. Yes, less expensive. Still easier to apply. BUT, it practically disappears on the car.

Unlike some other films, it does NOT have that orange peel look. Cleartastic Plus, has a smooth as glass finish. Won't get cloudy over time.
The cuts/shapes for these Cleartastic Plus kits flow with the contour and lines of the car to help hide the edges.
If you bought the new kits/ film I know you would like the end result

Cool. When did the "plus" come out?

How does it compare to the original cleartastic in terms of thickness? Does it provide the same level of protection?

The Plus film has been out now for a few years. Great stuff. Nothing wrong with the Original Cleartastic.
Plus was designed to deal with the curves & higher speeds the Z06..etc posses.
Its 6 mil (a little thinner then Original Cleartastic) But the Plus is just a slightly different animal so the technology is different too. Provides outstanding protection.
Designed to resist yellowing, bubbling, cracking and peeling from UV exposure...all that good stuff.

The major difference is that the Plus film is a one time application. You don't have to remove it and re apply it. One time application provides years and years of protection.
Treat it like paint! In fact we encourage people to wax over the film...etc

Yes, I bought my set over 2 years ago.

After going through the painstaking job of installing a clear bra on the front bumper of my Z06, the Cleartastic was a breeze. I think I installed all of the side panels within an hour.

It's done a great job at protecting the wide body of my Z06 but my only critique was the way it wasn't as invisible as my clear bra.

I'll consider upgrading to the Plus once my car comes out of storage.
