Default Walbro 450lph E85 pump

I was curious to know what's the most amount of power a Walbro 450lph E85 pump can support with an MSD Boost a Pump for an e85 boosted application with 85lb injectors. Thanks

I just installed this pump in my Z06 and from what info I gathered the pump flows 30liters more per hour over the stock pump.

Bumping up an old thread because i have the exact same question. Seeing if anyone else has done this.

Been researching Fuel systems for hours and hours. This seems like a solid setup that could support over 700 on e85. I have no problem dropping the tanks.

I was looking at the ECS and A&A fuel systems but the price kills it for me if the 450 + BAP can make over 700 on E85.

thanks,

Wow this is an old thread. The Walbro 450 is a popular upgrade for C6s because of how little modification they require to work and flow a lot of fuel. I made over 750whp with a single one WITHOUT a BAP before I started seeing pressure drops. That was a N/A nitrous build though. A blower car will require more fuel as the engine needs to spin the headunit. I would think a 450 with a BAP would be enough fuel for 700whp on a blower car. You can always add an external pump to work with the 450 if you need more fuel in the future like I did.

Thanks for the Reply, though not what i wanted to hear... haha. I would love to have a single drop in pump to be able to support over 700 on E85. Looks like the ECS Stage 1 system is only good to 700-750 (and i think thats rated on pump gas).

If you were running on pump 93 and meth then you would be perfectly fine. If you want to start making big power on E85, you are looking at spending a couple thousand bucks on a return style system to do it properly.

I did it a while ago and it worked fine for me but I was N/A E85. Since then I switched to a fuel cell and got rid of the saddle bags.

That's craziness . I built a fuel cell setup and went to Dual Grams 440lph E85 pumps and I spent well under 1k and a fuel lab FPR X2 -10 feeds to a -8 return. Before I went to the grams pumps I had dual AEM 380's and the setup costs less then $700 and was 1000+ whp capable.

Did you run the dual AEMs in your stock modified bucket? Also, was this on stock feed and regulator? Thanks

Interesting setup. So for all new lines, rails, the fuel cell, a regulator, two pumps, external filter, and fittings you spent less than $700? I probably spent over $200 on black -an fittings alone.

Yes but where is that cell located?? convienence and stockish appearance is usually worth the money when talking about only a couple grand.

Yea you can get fittings and braided lines off eBay, fuel cell was 220-250 Jegs, pumps were 300 AEM 380's. I had a Holley hi ram so I already had the lines and fittings for the rail.
