LS7 Exhaust Manifold Flange Studs
I need to replace the studs in a pair of LS7 factory exhaust manifolds. Has anyone used Dorman p/n 03133? They're not an exact match for the factory studs but the price is waaaaaaay better...~$10 for 6 studs and nuts ($20 total since I need to buy two packages) vs ~$75 for the studs and nuts from GM at near wholesale.

I haven't used the Dorman studs. But I have removed the flange studs. They seemed to be a self locking type of stud/thread. You might want to ask that question. It took alot of heat and heat cycles to get the studs out without breaking them. Maybe someone else has more of the lowdown on the exhaust flange studs

Just replace studs with bolts from your local hardware store. They make it a lot easier to install the downpipe. If you leave one stud in each manifold, it makes the alignment easy and holds the gasket in place too. If you have a choice, keep the single stud in the location that has the most access for the socket.

I appreciate the replies. All the old studs are out Looking for new ones to replace them with.
Seems like I've been to every hardware store in LA (pay no attention to Seattle in my avitar ) and nobody has M10 x 1.5 studs that are ~60mm long. Flange head bolts are an option to take a look at
