It may have been that the new Corsa X-pipe hadn't been released when I was looking for the '11 parts. Too bad. I could have saved some money, for sure.

Yes, but at least you provided some data when it came to the '11 vs. '12/'13 4-cat setup using exclusively GM parts. Had you have gone the Corsa route, I'm sure someone would say the HP increase is because Corsa uses a "better X" than GM.

Actually–and this is just my opinion–I have a Corsa X-Pipe on my C5. Corsa makes their X's different than does GM and appearance-wise I think the X-pipe in C6 Corvette exhausts is a better design.

Admittedly, I have not tested the X's against each other. My opinion is based on looking at the X-pipes I see on race cars.

What we need is a photo of an 11 mid-section. Anyone have one?

add: I would think not. The extra cats are the issue b/c lengths change.

I just swapped in the X pipe center section into my 2008 Z. The difference in sound is readily apparent but my butt dyno isn't really calibrated enough to notice if there is any extra power to be had.

Do you prefer the sound now with the X-pipe or before with the H-pipe? If you have the 2011 mufflers, then your input in this thread would be appreciated, as I am on the fence.

I have the 2008 mufflers with the muffler mod done and the fuse pulled on the exhaust valves so it's in loud mode all the time.

I prefer the sound with the x-pipe; it's way more exotic sounding and less motor boat lol. It's most apparent at the high end of the rpm band and then when shifting at wot...it almost crackles on the shift overrun which it never used to do. Sounds really nice.

I emailed Corsa about the 14331 X-Pipe and was told it would require cutting....not so. Just installed today, straight swap. I would recommend buying new donut gaskets from the dealer, it is possible to re-use the ones from your OE x-pipe but takes longer and there is the risk of damage.

Echoing some other feedback, the sound does seem to be a bit higher pitched and with less burble/pop noise (which I liked) and there does not seem to be as much heat from the center tunnel.....we'll see.
