How does the Z06 do against the CTS-V?
Strictly roll racing , at roll race events..
Against a basic mod Z06 . ( intake,tune )
I think with the basic mods they are around 550 rwhp give or take . Obviously weight hurts the car but they seem a little quicker than the Zl1???

I myself am torn between a 2012 cts-v coupe and a 2010 z06. My wife wants the cts-v since it has 4 seats and we can take her daughter with us on trips to our cottage in it. I'm leaning towards the z06 and just using our suv for the trips to the cottage. I'm stuck.

I've owned both. The Z06 is superior in every way performance wise, but I now drive a CTSV wagon because 5 doors is much, much more practical (and the interior and Recaro seats are much nicer).
For a daily driver, the Cadillac wins though.

My Z06 is definitely faster than my CTS-V. If you're looking at a coupe, be sure to check out the rear seat room (or lack of it) and see if that matters.

The Z06 smokes it, not even close. I think there's a video on youtube of a Z06 racing in the wrong gear (something like starting in 2nd instead of starting in 1st) and still walking a CTSV. My friend recently took his CTSV to the track and couldn't get any better than 13.0 quarter mile.

I feel your pain. I am pondering the same question. for the same reasons. .I guess you have to ask yourself what you will be using the car for.. if it is drag racing and track events... stick with the Z06...if it is purely a cruiser and maybe some roll racing (obviously sanctioned ) then... well thats where the question gets tough.

Definitely agreed. They should be solidly throughout the 12.0 to 12.8 range IMO. His is a 4 door and automatic so those factors might have dragged it down a bit.
Pretty damn big cars. the 4 door automatic weighs in at 4253 without driver. Not a good platform to start on if you want to go fast.
