1969 Camaro Z06
Not a Vette, well mostly a Vette I guess. But I had to share out of respect for the build. I only got a few pictures of this car but talk about amazing!
This is not just a 69 Camaro with an LS7. It's a complete 2007 Z06 with a 1969 Camaro body on it. Also all the electronics were still intact, Z guages, push button start, heated Z seats with houndstooth center stitch, push button door release, traction control and all.
This guy did the build in 1 year in his own shop in his spare time. Heck I'm sure he is on the forum, I just met him real quick at a cruise in. I plan on stopping by his shop this week, sounded like he had a ton of cars.

Dam that's nice, what a machine.
Its amazing the body fit so nicely over the Z chassis, can imagine the modifications necessary to make it fit.

Still its very cool...you can do some pretty trick stuff with the old Camaros...Detroit Speed has a pretty wicked front clip that can make these old cars handle like a Vette

Guys name is Bobby Johnson and he owns Dallas Collision in Dallas Ga. He's a buddy of mine and a super nice guy! He currently is working on doing the same style build but with a ford gt and an older mustang this time. He's extremely talented to stay the least!

Thanks Josh, I couldn't remember his name. I want to see the mid engine GT supercar he's building, he was telling me all about it, sounds trick. He said it's finished he just didn't have insurance on it yet to drive it.

I asked what he had in it, said about $100k but he did all the work himself. He said probably $200k for someone to have it built! Wowza LOL!
I will try and get some, I took a few but they were too dark.

The LS7 swap actually isn't that hard, even I did it!
looks like he kept the ABS controller too. If he is running the ABS and BCM etc now that is a neat trick I've only seen done a couple times.

Yeh i was thinking the same thing...I know Mark Stielow did it in his "red devil" 69 powered LS9 Camaro (but he kinda cheated cause he is a GM engineer)
