Default Rusty Wheel Hub Rotor Painted Pic

For the longest time I've wanted to paint my wheel hubs and get the nasty rust off. I know others have this same issue. I finally had enough and pulled the wheels off and painted them. They came out GREAT! it looks like a just bought new wheels!!! If anyone wants to paint theirs...go for it and it's really easy...the toughest part is turning the rotors when you're painting...it's really hard to turn them but just put some muscle into it and they'll turn...I tried to post pics but i'm not sure how to...

To "turn" the rotors more easily, just insert the blade of a long screw driver in a cooling vane, instant leverage. That only should be an issure with the rear rotors.

They look great.

Scrubbed with some steel wool just to knock off some of the rust...although not a lot came off. Then I tapped off the Calipers real good to make sure no paint got on them...then went to town with about 3 coats. It doesn't matter if you paint the rotors...they come clean once you drive the car and brake a few times. This is also a great time to clean the inside of your wheel....

Definitely black! But then again for $7 bucks buy a can of both colors and try one then other and see what looks best before you put the wheel back on.

That's a great color option. I replaced my rotors about a year ago and painted them with ceramic black. I must admit with my chrome grand sport rims this color would look much better.......I'm in for the color change and thanks for posting this.
