Thanks. This is my first vette. Its a 2008 Black Z06 and its great. I cant believe I waited so long to get one.

All factory z06 engines are 427. There are plenty of z06s out there with larger engines so I wouldn't say all z06s are 427s.

All C6 Z06's are LS7 427's. 2006-2013. All are 505 HP. All are 6 speed manual tranny's. None have a removable roof.

C5 Z06 is LS6. 405 HP. 2001-2004. (2001 was 385 HP)

No Z06 was made in 2005.

The truth of the matter is "some" have experienced engine failure so you may want to be proactive and have your valve guide clearance checked. They're not all bad heads.
