Default Those who have mantic 9000 twin disc, step inside please

Alright, I got my car back today.. Had a fuel issue so its being towed back to the shop tomorrow.. Another story..

But..

I had the mantic 9000 twin disc setup installed by a very reputable corvette performance shop..
It feels great, pedal pressure wise.. No chadder..

But in the lower gears just driving around town I hear a good bit of raddle.. you can hear it coming from outside the window..

Also if you have the clutch pedal on the floor it releases a couple inches from the floor and when you are shifting it shifts like two inches from the top.. normal? is there any adjustment in this?

Thanks!

Rattle should go away with miles. Mine did it slightly at first. Now it is smooth and drives great. Mine engages ~1.5" from top, doesn't move. Tick master. Shifts and drives fine so I haven't messed with it.

New clutches will disengage with less pedal travel. I noticed this when my Mantic was new. I have around 1.5k miles on mine and it still rattles when in neutral with the clutch disengaged. I don't hear any noise in lower gears while moving.

Do you guys find the peddle throw for engage/disengage more or less than stock?

Not sure if I phrased that right.... What I mean is the amount of peddle movement where the clutch is actually doing something when shifting. Crap, that doesn't sound right either...

I have from day one, found the stock clutch to be somewhat difficult to get the car rolling from a dead stop, or to shift smoothly unless I'm speed shifting. I prefer a clutch with more peddle travel. Mine feels like it has about an inch max. I hate it and would like more travel. I'm not about to go through the aggravation of swapping out my clutch in my garage unless I'm certain on clutch choices. I was hoping one of these Mantic clutches would be the magic bullet.

My Mantic feels like disengages closer to the floor than the stock clutch did. It seems to have a little more pedal travel than the stock clutch from what I remember. Drives a little better than stock, easier to slip IMO. Never tried to power shift with it yet, so no input there.

Only thing that would be adjustable in the clutch system would be the master if you have a tick master. Mine engages more towards the top. Works for me. Shifts and drives great. Nice and smooth.

Hmm mine rattles in nuetral and lower gears.. U can hear it outside the car.. Hope it goes away.. And the clutch engages a couple inches from floor and from top.. Release and grabs super quick which I don't like..

Was hoping this would be the perfect clutch.. Hope it changes with miles..

There's no way you have enough miles on your clutch. Took over 250 stop and go miles before mine started to feel like it does.

When the cars idling in neutral and you push the clutch pedal in does the noise go away?

Summed it up perfectly, thanks.

I don't have the tickmaster, but is there any adjustability in where it engages/disengages? Or will that change too with miles?

Thanks

There is no adjustability in the factory system or with the clutch. Well, I guess you could shim it if you wanted to pull out the torque tube.

Unreal: Any change with the fluid and how quickly it gets dirty? Did it help keeping the pedal off the floor when your on it? If mine didn't sink to the floor it would kinda push in a little off my left foot.

Thanx.

My fluid looks like its new.

My stock clutch would be about half way to the floor after a full 1/4 mile pass. I could also feel it collapsing under my foot with some spirited driving.
The Mantic fixed all of that.

With what? The clutch or master? Fluid looks new, and my clutch has never stuck so no issues there. Stock, ls9r, or mantic have never had issues. Only clutch issues I've had is after about 20 pulls at 900+rwhp the ls9r got a little soft.
