In the market for a lighter set of rotors. How do the 5000 series compare to the Coleman rotors?

Thanks.

My Coleman front rotors weigh 16# 1 oz. each. Don't think you will find any lighter.

Keep in mind, DBAs have a lot of iron in them, which resists warping and fade, but weighs more than lesser materials.

I did notice the outer walls are thinner on my Coleman than my stock rotors. For heavy track use the DBAs might be a better choice. For drag racing maybe the Coleman.

I just bought the dba 5000 and 4000. In the weight loss sticky it says the 5000 series are 11 lbs lighter for the front, I haven't seen the weight difference for the 4000 series on the rear yet. Please do post if you find out for sure the differencies in weight versus stock.

Again, I really think the reason to buy DBA's is because they resist warp and fade better than anything else out there. There is not a better OE replacement rotor IMO.

For track use with the Coleman rotors you want the heavy duty rings which weigh in at about 20# rather than with the lightweight rings at 16#.

I do not have experience with the DBA rotors myself although I know others that like them.
