MPSC Cup v.s. MPSC Cup ZP
I just checked my pics of Cup tires that I had before on my Grand Sport, and the Cup ZP tires I have now on my Z06. It appears to be quite a bit of difference even in the thread design. I always thought the differences were at the compound, not the thread design since they looked very similar until I looked at the pics side by side.
You can also check out the discussion of Porsche-spec (N-spec) and regular Cup tires here.

Looking forward to see the thread design of recently annouced MPSC Cup 2 tires!
- The outer-most layer of the Cup ZP tires is slick, while the standard (Viper ACR-spec?) Cup tires have the dimples all the way out.
- Though not clear from pics, the sidewalls appear to be of different design as well. This is very much expected due to change in the sidewall width and the fact that one of them is a run-flat tire, needing a stiffer sidewall.
- Dimples are also smaller on Cup ZP.
- The regular Cup tire has a wider slick section in the middle.

I think it will eventually come in all sizes, would doubt that they would release Z06/ZR1 sizes during the initial release. I could not even see its thread design yet, so I'm looking forward to reading detailed reviews about this tire. I am sure Michelin will compare it with the original cup tires during an event with the press just like what they did when they released PSS tires, by comparing it with the PS2 tires during the press event.
