Which has the most clearance or is there a difference between a z06-Z51 to a stock C6 Suspension ?
Is it true that if you'r not going to be on that track a lot you would be better off with a stock suspension for better ride and longer tire life?

Clearance for what? If you have a base C6, and stock width wheels and tires I would suggest staying with a Z51 upgrade for springs and sways.

As opposed to what? If you're saying base C6 suspension as opposed to the Z51...Z51 will be a firmer ride. Tire wear shouldn't matter between base and Z51 suspension setups...your alignment specs are what's critical here for tire life.

I am asking because I have a clearance issue.I have a VERY steep driveway .I would be better off with the higher clearance so is the Z06-z51 the same hight off the ground as the stock C6 as i'de like the better suspension but not if I am going to damage the car.

so you are asking about c6 w/z51 compares to c6 or c6 w/z51 compares to z06.. still not sure..

It does not matter.....Z51 suspension is similar to Z06 but, if you have a steep drive, it does not matter which one you get. Any of them will hit. Their all low to ground and the nose on C6 (all makes) sticks out. Their around two inches ground clearance and again, the approach to a steep grade....any C6 version will rub.

Add: back the car in and it will likely clear....IMO the Z06 rides THE SAME as Z51 if that's what your worried about. It surprised me because when I bought my Z06 I had a C6 Vert w/Z51 suspension and found that their ride is about the same. Reason: Z06 is lighter.

I am in the market to get a c6 just wondering if a stock C6 had the same ground clearance as a Z 06 and or Z51 suspension .I know all will hit I am getting my driveway cut out to help some . my buddy got this C6 almost stuck at the bottom.If they all are about the same it won't matter just asking thanks to all.

GS/Z06/ZR1 are set at the factory with 1/2" less ground clearance than a base C6. It's easy to raise the GS/Z06/ZR1 1/2" with the stock springs if you need additional ground clearance just as it's easy to lower a base C6 1/2". The springs sit on adjustable bolts that can be adjusted to raise or lower the car, independent of which suspension the car is equipped with.
