FIXED Heads Red Lined at Track !!!
So after my last track day some of my fellow CF members (you know who you are) gave me a rash of crap claiming my heads that were FIXED by Richard weren't really being driven very hard. It was implied that I was short shifting intentionally because I didn't have faith in or feared damage from my SS exhaust valves/dual spring setup from my nationally renowned head shop. My explanation that particular track did not lend itself you shifting at redline fell on deaf ears.
So yesterdays event was at a different track which allowed me to demonstrate that I have no fear of taking my setup to 7K and even intentionally hit the rev limiter once or twice. Next months track day will be at Auto Club Speedway which 3 long straights. I will have 7K shifts in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears.
Since heads were FIXED:
24K Miles
13 Track Days
**some of the video gets out of sinc after several laps but you can still see the tach for RPM**

Nice videos, Howie. What tires are you running this year?
BTW, I thought the Z06 G meter as limited to 1.27G, but last weekend mine showed 1.28G on the HUD after one of my sessions with the nearly gone NT-05's.

Thanks everyone
Coming out of that button hook in 2nd gear with old NT05 tires can actually hurt your lap times due to lack of traction and then having to upshift to 3rd.
But in the interest of science and to shut up some detractors (wonder where they are?? ) I put her in 2nd and made sure I hit 7K as well as the rev limiter a couple of times.

This is an amazing endorsement for Richard and WCCH and their quality. That is a lot of hard driving by a fast driver.

Nice video, thanks for sharing.
Never bothered to post this before since I don't have a data capture tool and its all anecdotal, but I've hit the rev limiter on my SS valved H/C LS7 at the autocrosses a few times too. It isn't often and its not there for long, but the car showed no signs of no hiccups running up to 7100rpm.

Like I said running up to the rev limiter intentional was intentional as the 3 Muskateers were giving me crap at my last track day. The implication was that I was fearful of how my FIXED heads would perform.
Funny how Mark, Michael and Propain haven't seemed to notice these videos but they sure noticed ever 100 rpm in the last ones
