Rear spoiler comparison?
Has anyone ever seen or compared the C7 Carbon Extended spoiler to the Katech version? I really want the Katech but nobody has it in stock at the moment and its pretty damn expensive. I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. They look pretty similar in the pictures to me as far as height and fitment goes.

The C7 Z06 comes closest to the Katech, at least from the photos I've seen. I'm sure Katech has them in stock, and you're right, they aren't cheap. Combine it with a ZR1 splitter and you should be good to go performance wise.

Yeah i pretty much was set set on the Katech piece and even went as far as placing an order with a vendor for one and they contacted me a week later saying that they would not be able to fulfill the order! I also contacted Jason from Katech and he said they are all sold out currently and they have more in the works but who knows how long that takes. I got quoted a price from C7 Carbon for their extended spoiler and front ZR1 splitter package deal and it the price with shipping included was less than the retail price of the Katech spoiler.

I would get the Katech if it weren't for the cost, but am probably going to go with the APR. I've read one too many quality complaints about the C7 and everything I see about the APR is positive.

I have a C7 ZR1 spoiler on my Z06 and love it. Great fitment, and I get compliments on it all the time. Great choice for the $

Well I got a PM from Jason at Katech today and he said that he had one available so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it. Looking forward to receiving it and getting it installed. I thing it will add a nice aggressive appearance to the car.

Good because that other spoiler in the pics on this thread looks nothing like the Katech spoiler! I've often found that if you really like something but can't afford it at the time you are often better off waiting to get it later than getting something instead that you are not 100% set on. It tends to lead to less regrets

Yes i was pretty set on the Katech part as soon as i saw the first pic of one on a C6Z. I usually mod the car for performance before cosmetics but this time i have an extended warranty to deal with so i decided to getting it looking how i want it until i can open up the motor without fear of voiding the warranty.

I have the same mentality as you too. The good thing about this part though is that it is both an appearance and performance part. I track my car a lot and it (along with the front splitter lol ;-) made a big difference in high speed stability and handeling. Enjoy!
