I just dropped my Z06 off at Race Proven Motorsports today. I'm having a A&A Vortech supercharger and American Racing headers put on. I'm also having them put on my Akrapovic cat back exhaust on. I would love for someone to pick them up from the shop because shipping would be a pain in the a$$... Best offer at this point. I had someone that was going to buy it but they totaled their car over the weekend...

I'd love the mufflers but I'm in Utah so that kind of kills me picking them up.

Cat back, or axle back? I didn't think Akra makes a mid-pipe for the 12/13 cars because its a different length than the 06-11 cars due to the 4 cat set-up. I know corsa makes a mid-pipe now for the 12/13 cars that eliminates the two after cats.

Hmmm...I'm thinking you're going to run into fittiment issues with that AKRA mid-pipe. The 06-11 Evo system absolutely will not fit the 12/13 cars. Axle back is no issue though. AKRA's website doesn't mention anything about a revised mid-pipe for the 12/13 cars...hopefully the did the revision though.

That is old news. When I talked to Texas Speed they did say it used to be a problem but not anymore

Yes...its been news since 2012. Valid news though. If Akra makes a new mid-pipe for 12/13 cars, they should update their website.

You are right sir.. I just talked to Southern Car Parts and they said that the cat back will not work. I'm going to put eveything on but the mid pipe. He said the only difference between the cat back and axle is the mid pipe. Thanks for the information... I don't know why I was thinking I ordered it from Texas Speed. I orderted it from Southern Car Parts.. I'm waiting to see what Southern Car Parts are going to do for me.. I will let you know. So far the guy I talked to was pretty cool and is suppose to call me back...

Corsa makes the x-pipe you need...it will eliminate the 2 extra cats and is a true bolt-in piece. Southern carries Corsa.

I talked to the shop (Race Proven Motorsports) today and they said that being that I'm putting American Racing headers on I will be ok. The mid pipe that comes with the headers will fit up with everything. I will send the Akrapovic mid pipe back to Southern Car Parts and they will refund my money for it.. Thank you for the heads up buddy..

Ahh...didn't know you were going with LT's. Thought you were keeping stock manifolds and cats. Your setup will work just fine.

I was on the phone all morning making sure everything was ok.. Lol I will say at first I was pissed at Southern Car Parts for selling me something I couldn't use. I talked to them and they said they would work with me with buying the mid pipe back..

You should easily get $350 on the low end for your cat-back. At-least I wouldn't accept anything lower than that. Good luck on your build.
