Z06 weight
Just weighed it on a CAT scale and to my surprise......3160 with just over a half tank of gas. The weight distribution was pretty much a dead nuts 50/50. Another surprise was my buddy brought his mint 70 turino Super Cobra Jet which came in at 3800 which I thought was pretty light for that era of car. I thought sone of you may be interested in this

I think you're right. I thought I read somewhere that 06 was the lightest year. Mind you that I should also mention there's a amp and 10" JL stealth sub in it. I'm gonna get my buddy to weigh his 06. Ill post up a pic of scale ticket to show everyone the perfect 50/50 weight distribution

My 2006 2LZ has a fully custom stereo with sub box and dynomat, but I also went to long tube headers, titanium x-pipe with no cats, Racing Brake 2-piece rotors, carbon halo and roof and full ZR1 aero. With 19x10.5 fronts and 285/30/19 PS2 ZP on the front and CCW 18x11 C14's and Hoosier 315/30/18 drag radials.....1/2 tank of fuel....my car sat at exactly 3100 lbs. on the scales at a NHRA cert scale during a drag racing event.

That's light! I should of thrown in I also have full exhaust w high flow cats. I just found it baffling that the Z06 poster said the car 3132lbs BUT the door jamb has the weight at around 36XXLBs. Here's the scale ticket

Here's the weight of my 2006 2LZ with 3/4 tank of gas on the scales in the NASCAR tech shed at Daytona:
That was with ZR1 wheels (19" front, 20" rear) with MPSC ZP tires.
I've done a couple weight addition mods - I swapped in a pair of seats out of a base C6 with adjustable bolsters/lumbar and full power passenger seat (probably added 40 lbs or so), and also added an auto power pull down latch to close the hatch (I think it was about 5 lbs heavier than the manual latch).
Car is totally stock except for a Killer Bee intake and mods above.
BTW - the weights are (top to bottom) Left Front, Right Front, Right Rear, Left Rear.

I had saved a couple of pull-outs from my magazines at the time where GM was advertising the 2006 Z06. On the flip side of "An American Revolution," (a hard stock mini poster if you will) it shows a yellow Z06 and in large red numerals 3,132lbs. (The only writing on that page). The other side writes about it being "codeveloped with the C6.R race car," etc., states other specs and cites again the low weight of 3,132 lbs. The Z is the lightest C6 model. I recall the Z received its greatest weight gain with the Z07 package.
I'll go ahead and add what the advertisement actually said about the weight: "Result: An incredibly low curb weight of 3,132 lbs. and a power-to-weight ratio of 6.2 lbs. per hp."
Edit to the OP: I guess what I am trying to say is don't be surprised. These Z's are remarkably light weight and were originally designed with that in mind. They vary with the year and packages but weight was a strong concern for the Z.

Supremacy 1 car at a time
This is one of those seemingly simple and frequently asked questions that should have an equally simple and straight forward answer, but in reality it's not so simple.
The 2008 Z06 curb weight can vary depending on option package. For example, either 1LZ, 2LZ or 3LZ. According to Chevrolet | 2008 Corvette - Performance Specs the 2008 Z06 curb weight is 3,162 lbs. Notice that no other weight is given and no allowance is made for the difference in weight among the three packages. That is called a "clue" <cough>marketing<cough>.
The C5 Z has a curb weight of 3,118 lbs. Once again according to GM.
Those weights were obtained with the amount of fuel GM used to calculate them, not necessarily the amount put in at the Bowling Green assembly plant and not the amount you or I might use. Hence, owner results may vary depending on the amount of fuel and/or aftermarket equipment aboard.
Curb weight is defined as vehicle weight will full fuel, oil and without driver, passengers or cargo. However, some manufacturers, such as GM, make this calculation based on a specific amount of fuel, but less than full. Conversely, Porsche calculates curb weight with no fuel, or dry curb weight (marketing again).
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) is the maximum allowable weight, including all necessary operating fluids and equipment, fuel, cargo, driver, passengers and trailer tongue weight.

Hmmmn.... My '11 Z06 w/Z07, 3LT, race seats/harnesses, & Katech hood, splitter, side valences, spoiler, 1/2 tank of gas comes in at 3381. I suppose the bigger wheels/tires of the Z07, the 3LT pkg., and the extra bodywork could add 200 lbs., but the race seats are 75lbs. lighter than the 3LZ's I took out. The 3381 BTW is from the corner-weighting scales at Phoenix Performance. Having said all this, I dimly recall that the Z06 gained weight over the years.
Adds up to 3217 lbs. Might want to try another weighing in session.

GM says the curb weight on a 2009 1LZ no NAV and painted wheels is 3175#.
My 2009 2LZ with NAV and chrome spiders has a GVWR of 3651# and a max cargo weight of 423# which = 3228#, or 53# over the base Z06's curb weight.
53# is what would be expected with the additional weight of the 2LZ seats etc, the NAV and the heavier chrome wheels.

That seems kind of high to me. My '11 Z06/Z07 with 3LZ, Nav, carbon package, and with chrome OEM ZR1 19/20" wheels (heavier than the stock Comp Greys) weighed 3280 lbs on a truck scale with nearly a full tank of fuel. Here's a corner scale weight with half tank:
Adds up to 3217 lbs. Might want to try another weighing in session.

As measured on Longacre scales - after corner balancing:
LF: 852
RF: 826
LR: 816
RR: 790
Total: 3284 (with 160 pound driver)
LF&RR cross weight: 1642
RF&LR cross weight: 1642
Cross weight difference: 0
Front: 1678 (51.1%)
Rear: 1606 (48.9%)
'09 2LZ, absolutely stock
Fuel level - 1/4 tank
By the way, for those curious, the initial cross difference was 266 pounds (with driver), 268 (without).
Also, of interest (at least to me), putting in another driver that weighs 9 pounds less, but sits closer to the steering wheel, resulted in a 19 pound corss weight difference.
