Default 08 jsb z, deal?

Going to dealer to look at 08, loaded with 17k miles. They wanted 50k but got them down to 46900. Deal or no deal? Thanks.

42-45k if it's in near excellent condition. Remember there could be some road rash in front of the rear wheels and unless it's been covered is normal for these cars.

The JSB is one of the fewer colors built in the four years it was offered. '08 being the most in that year. (08-11)

There were less in '09 and still fewer in '10 and '11. (34) in '10 and (18) I think in '11.

If it's a 3LZ I'd say say good deal, CPO?

I was hoping for 45ish but they wont. The car is going to have to be perfect which I'm sure it will not be. All these dealers post it as perfect, best condition they have seen and then when I see it, there are rock chips everywhere. I will let you all know how I make out.

Edmunds has it at about $44K--$45K dealer retail if in "excellent condition" (3LZ) in FL.

If it's in good shape, doesn't need tires (doubtful), and is a CPO car, the warranty alone
(and the ability to extend the same) might be worth a grand or so...?

I paid 46 for mine. But it was pristine, new tires, wheels, and nice mods both inside and out... plus the engine work was top notch with receipts and dyno all done local.

I didn't end up making a deal today. Car was pretty clean. Tires were not bad but will need to be changed in the future. It was a 3lz with no warranty. They didn't want to move off of the 46900 and wanted to hit me with 520 document fee. I passed and will continue to look. Thanks again for the help.

I dont it was high for jsb. I bought mine last year, and was specifically looking for that color... Believe it or not but jsb is harder to find and demands more money. I could have bought a yellow one for about $5k less (same year and mileage) and ton more mods, but i cant live with that color.

Car is worth to u what u want to pay. Is it what u want? Then its worth it. I think $47k for 3lz jsb with low miles is excellent price/bargain. There are two jsb's for sale on the forum check their price. Mine will be for sale later in the year and ill ask for $50k with double what u listed for mileage (i do have ton of mods in luding headwork).

Let's be honest any car is only worth what the right person is willing to pay for it. When I was looking for a Z, I found several that were at least 3-4k cheaper with no mods and brand new tires... But for me I was looking at the total package; Color, options, upgrades (and I ran from cars with certain upgrades), and mileage...

I am very happy with my purchase, GL with your search.

Recommend also that you budget at least several hundred dollars for a proper heads/valve-train inspection for any
LS7-equipped car you are going to buy, and be prepared to fix any problems if the same are determined to exist
($1K--$3K ?)...

(unless the seller has already done such work and has the appropriate documentation to share with you)
.

Loaded is a term that has lost its meaning. Loaded means having Radio, PW, PDL, Cruise, Pwr Seats, power, power steering, and power brakes. All Vettes have those things.

You need to know which option package. 1LZ, 2LZ or 3LZ. Whether it has a Bose Radio or Nav, what wheels come on the car, etc. JSB can bring a higher price because it was an extra cost paint option that gets great comments from people. I have a 3LZ 08 JSB and when it is sitting at a cruise in with other Vettes it is the one that is noticed. Everybody raves about the color.

Another thing about the car is the metallic in the paint helps it hide the typical road rash that is so visible on driven wide body cars. It is still there just a lot harder to see.

regards color. Depending on lighting, you'll find two or three blues. It's best in bright light IMO....

Make sure you get the exact color you want. If it's JSB, then go JSB. You won't regret it, I get nothing but compliments on the color. Sounds like you aren't sure of the color or are flexible, considering 07 had no JSB option. I almost pulled the trigger on a cheaper car but held out for JSB in the end.

The price of used Z's has fluctuated over the past few years. They are back up a bit now. But 46k for a 08 is a little high. I paid 43k for my 09 3LZ. I'd say 43k is about right for market today. The dealer may have too much in it to get to that level.
Good Luck
