Default Houston shop

Hello everyone. Looking to do some work between 2 shops. Hennessy or LMR? Getting heads done with new valves port an polish, headers, fast intake, custom cam and tune. Looking at the reaper package for LMR $12999. And HPE 600 it's a little less involved at $8999. Thoughts or comments on shops? Are prices reasonable and/or are these shops open to negotiate prices? Thanks for any information provided.

You'll find that EnglandGreen is priced better than both and much more accessible to talk to.

You can't go wrong with LMR, they're local and have a pretty good reputation around here. There are other shops in Houston that you didn't mention such as England Green or 510 Race Engineering. I stick with D3 Performance Engineering for my tuning and such, but I don't think they mill heads or spec cams out. They mostly do custom fabrication and tuning, but they're quality is top notch.

When I did my first head/cam C6Z I went to Carlos w/ Quality Motorsports in Dallas. Danny at Lethal Performance in San Antonio, TX is also a pretty well liked person with reasonable prices if you are willing to travel outside of Houston.

Look at Powerfabs, Brian is known for his detailed tuning, not just dyno tuning but street tuning, that is where I plan to go.

Default Houston Shop

After negative experiences at two other shops, 510 Racing did an excellent job on my Z06. I recommend them.

Rest assured if you want power and good work go check out KP racing, but be prepared to wait. Shops that do great work are backed up and will normally wont have spots open for a couple weeks. I dont know how people get off saying LMR is a good shop, but I guess everyone has their own opinion and own experiences. Another good shop is D3 I personally dont use them but I have meet them and some of my friends use them.

H-Squared doesnt do ng tthis type of work Halston (the owner) can build you a bad *** motor if you want something built but as far as tuning thats not for him.
