Default WCCH Heads Installed and Tuned

Vengeance Racing sold and installed WCCH stage 2 heads, milled to 66cc's, and tuned my 2006 Z06 on 5/1/2014. This car has 28K miles. Mods are Vengeance Racing .660 lift Dual Spring Kit with Ti Retainers, x-pipe, Corsa axle backs and skip shift eliminator. No other mods. Still have the stock air filter and exhaust manifolds. Dyno sheet can be seen in my C5 / C6 Album.

500 rwhp
466 rwtq

The car runs great. I had never had it tuned before, so I didn't have a base line to determine the gains. This was done for peace of mind to prevent the dropped exhaust valve.

Congrats on the modification and more importantly congrats on the new found and well warranted peace of mind.

Good move. You'll enjoy the extra power and the peace of mind is a good thing.

How were your original valves and guides at 28k mi.? Loose or not?

I don't know. At Vengeance Racing they won't let you around the car while they work on it. So, I didn't get to see the original heads when they came off, or the new heads before they went on.

Many, if not most of the shops doing this sort of thing, use the owner's old heads for cores.

This way, his are sent out to be rebuilt and the next customer who comes in wanting what the original poster just bought, well, that shop will have the heads in stock.

No wait.

This is a very good way to do it. Waiting is unbearable.

Also saves you the trouble of having to sell your old heads if you have bought a spare set yourself to send out to have rebuilt.

But you are right, this is the best way to do it, in that it's usually a one day/same day event if your shop already has a set of heads ready to go.

This was the pkg Vengeance offered. It allows for a cam later if I decide to. I'm not sure if or when I'll add a cam.

We're glad that you are enjoying the new power!

We always install dual springs with our WCCH exchange packages. This allows for the customer to easily upgrade camshafts at a later date.

I am very sorry nobody offered to show you your new heads or the old heads for that matter. We do offer to walk our customers thru the shop and show them how we operate, unfortunately we cannot allow customers to stand by their vehicles due to insurance regulations and technician efficiency

Thanks again for making the trip down. We truly appreciate your business and hope you are able to enjoy your Z06 now.

We did 4 head swaps with vengeance and these guys are awesome! great number for sure! just an FYI we brought three cars down about two months ago and one was a heads only car. It had headers and a cold air intake and it made 520hp
