[Z06] New Burns Stainless NhB light weight Exhaust

Burning Brakes
This has been one of my biggest concerns about the Akrapivic Ti exhaust, and you guys are going to save me a pile of money. The Akra Ti exhaust for the Z06 is now discontinued with some remaining stock available, and this is very timely real-world feedback.

Sonofabitch.... I just got a box from Borla with their Touring muffs yesterday. I gave up on trying to find a descent sounding exhaust that doesn't drone or give me a headache after about 30 minutes of rallying, so I decided to give the Touring axle back a go, figuring they are about the most "mellow" aftermarket stainless muffler available for this car. Then this thread pops up. No wonder I don't gamble.

The B&B Fusion Gen 3 is a better system if you have a highly modded car and want to be able to tone it down with the flaps closed. It offers no weight savings over stock though.

Thanks for posting the rear view pictures
Wanted to see how far the mufflers hung down from stock they appear to be about the same height of the ground assuming they had 4 tips.

Having revisited the Z06 OEM and Aftermarket Parts Weight List tonight, I started to wonder ... is the Burns Stainless NhB the same as the Katech Club Sport?
Looking at the second pic in post # here, I would say so!

It's a different system than the one that Katech used to make. The Katech one used mufflers sourced from Burns but was made in house by Katech and had a single flap set up using parts from the OEM system. The Katech one is no longer being made, trust me I tried to get one before I started looking into alternatives and started working with Burns testing this one.
