Default What would you pay for this Z06?

Hello,

Teenager totalled my S2000, long story short it will be next to
impossible to find a replacement in my condition/mileage in my area.

I have looked at several cars to include S5s, M3s, Lotus, etc.
Looks like a z06 may be in my future. I need a convertible that is
a driver's car, period.

What would you pay for a '07 Z06 with <10k miles.
Factoring in that the new Z06 is on the horizon.
First figure that pops into your head. Thanks!

We were sleeping. LOL

Well, firstly, you won't find a convertible in the Z. I just bought a 2006 Z06 in great condition with 30k. I paid like $38k for it. For a 07 with 10k miles, I would guess low 40s? 42-45 maybe.

Hope that helps.

That car is worth $44000 all day long with that little mileage. As Homeboy77 says there is no c6 Z06 convertible.

Yea I guess its a hardtop?
Will take a look tomorrow. Yep its ultra low miles.
I was thinking lowish 40s given the current depreciation and new
model on the horizon.
Tired of looking for a new car already

Price has been holding steady around 40-43k...in some cases even more depending on the area. If you can get it in the low 40s, then youre good imo.

We paid 41K for our 2006 Z06 this past February. @ 14,500 miles on the clock.

save money for head work, you'll have needle bearing issues, and possibly valve guide issues, budget 7500 to fix if it doesn't have the GMPP warranty.

What would I pay? Considering its an 07 and I would only buy an 08+ I would only buy it at a loss to the seller. If you need a number to get a better idea personally I would do 35k. It's really worth about 39-41 ish.

There is also nothing wrong with buying low mile cars with 40 or 50 K miles on them. An 08 with 50K miles is a low mile car considering it is very close to 7 model years old with an average of 7K miles per year. That is about 60% of the standard average mileage per year.

I'd say 41-43K sounds fair with that low milage. Go for it, you only live once. I have an 07 Z and I love it.

With those kind of miles, you have to assume that the car was pampered and is perfect. 06's with under 10k miles are going for about $42K in my area. 07's, for about $2k more.

One of the several concerns about a car that old with that few miles is the tires. If they are original, they will need to be replaced immediately, regardless of tread wear.

Also, check the rear main oil seal. Low mile cars can leak and this is an expensive repair.

If all is good, buy it. There is no greater driving experience.

Just for one more data point; I paid $39500 for my 07 with 37k about one month ago in the St Louis area. Mint condition 2LZ with brand new Bridgestone RE11s.

That was the best price on a good car I could find after shopping for almost 4 months. Made sure to budget $2500 on top of that amount for a head rebuild and swap as well, if you do it yourself.

Buy a C5 Z06 NOW for about $20,000. This will give you a taste of the "driver's car" that you desire. Then when then the C7 Z06 comes out in January, I would sell your C5 (you won't loose money on it) and (AFTER a test drive) buy the new C7 Z06 if you decide that's what you want. I would bypass the C6 Z06 entirely.

If it is mint, and 2LZ, and doesn't need tires $40-41k at most.

There are tons of them out there, shop around there are good deals.
