Default Fartpipe back out stock 06 C6Z06 GY runflats 11.29@127.13mph!!

Well I was able to do some 4th of July drag racing in a 2006 C6Z06 all stock down to the factory goodyear run flats. Im waiting on some video of the run as well. The weather was raining in the morning and cleared off in the evening and actually got rather cool. Down into the 60's Cecil county Maryland track.

Run #1 after some cool down after driving there.
60ft- 1.912
330ft- 5.063
1/8mi- 7.567
1/8mph- 98.70
1000ft- 9.690
1/4mi- 11.474
1/4mph- 126.39
That was with a 3000 rpm launch, let the clutch out smoothly and quick and quickly roll into the throttle. Car hopped a bit in 1st gear. Light chirp spin into 2nd gear.

Run#2 after more cool down trying to keep coolant temps below 180* at time of launch. I tried the right lane this time with same launch.
60ft-2.025
330ft- 5.155
1/8mi- 7.645
1/8mph- 99.57
1000ft- 9.751
1/4mi- 11.530
1/4mph- 126.18
As you can see the right lane prep wasnt up to par and the car spun for about 10ft lightly and reduced acceleration. I did get a little mad and shifted more aggressively on this pass and spun more in 2nd and a tad in 3rd gear. I was actually pretty impressed by the ET for the 60ft.

Run#3-more cool down time, coolant temps were close to 172* at time of launch. I went back into the left lane after a couple drag cars.
60ft- 1.857
330ft- 4.946
1/8mi- 7.418
1/8mph- 99.94
1000ft- 9.521
1/4mi- 11.295
1/4mph- 127.13
That was the best pass of the night at 8:37pm. The car lightly hopped twice and lightly eaked the tires for about 5ft and my foot was on the floor grabbed 2nd with a light spin and a chirp into 3rd gear, car pointed as straight as a arrow and a super fast 3-4shift it was done Very impressed with the car at this point!

Run#4 car cooled down to 180* on launch
60ft- 2.002
330ft-5.141
1/8mi- 7.624
1/8mph- 99.52
1000ft 9.732
1/4mi- 11.511
The car spun pretty good on this pass then a light bog before getting down through.

In conclusion the car picks up so much from the smallest improvements in driving. It really takes a lot of concentration to launch the C6Z06 on stock tires with stock clutch untuned. You're fighting torque managment on shifts and launch, you're fighting traction with a marginal tire at best, and your biggest fight is to not over heat the clutch when trying for the knife edge launch that doesnt smoke the clutch or bog or spin. This is some of the most fun I've had in a while drag racing. Its slightly frustrating because I know with drag radials the car would have more consistant traction. With a tune the throttle response and modulation would be better and able to tune the fans to keep the car cool for more runs. Cool down sucks up a lot of time for sure. A tune, drag radials and clutch is all the C6Z06 needs and it would be a ton of fun. However as you all know it snow ***** from there LOL!!!!
< Still waiting to see that window licker from Canada to beat my street tire times in a stock C6Z06

video coming soon!!!

Insane Bruce!!! Nice pass, wish I could drive like you. I can't launch my car to save my life, but the rest I can do well enough.

Nice job. Any plans for this car or just flip it in a few days? Lol

Sepasture19x I had to ask someone to translate what you were saying. I think they did a good job with what you wrote above. Ofcourse I think of you every time at the track. There's a porta-potty at almost every track silly! Borrow a friends stock one and show me how its done sunshine. You're not a nightmare to me. You're more like a mosquito with a STD.

P.S. whats that scribble at the bottom of your sig? It better not have curse words in it!!! BANNNN GET THE BANNNUBALANCE out!

I'm starting to think this one is a flipper for now. I may want to work my way back up to C7Z06? But that would most likely be a auto car

Looks like the York US 30 Dragway guys are still doing well!

I used to attend there when I was living in Reading.

Congratulations, 2k

NAH the only friends I have with a stock one is you, and you are too far away !!! And I don't love this colors. BTW ask to Gary to drive you're stockish, He have about the same driving skill as me. He will cut another 0.2 to 0.3 easy. Porta potty are essential things in life !!!

Yes mosquito are slim and fast.
Have a good day ladybug

Fartpipe what was the temperature and DA? I wonder how much mph you would pickup in negative DA. Damn!

Temperature for the first run was 74* and cooled down to 67-68* by the end of the night. DA was pretty good, my guess is between +900 to +1500DA.
