Is this the new, extended side skirt from C7 Carbon?

OK, I haven't quite pulled the trigger yet on drilling the holes. I got this PM:
I carry APR & LG and they attach to existing holes.
They both are excellent products. I can do the LG for $1295 shipped to your door and the APR is $1240 shipped to your door.

Has anybody on here installed any one of these products and can say for sure you don't drill into the rocker panel and it's a good product.? Thanks guys. I know I'm being a puss on this but if I don't have to drill into the car I don't want to. Dave

LG stuff is top notch. If you can sell your current ones and do LGs that don't drill I would go that way if it is a concern.

If they don't drill they must use double sided tape.

Just buy some heavy duty 3M auto tape and install the skirts you already have.

It is, so I'll figure out a price and order the LG's. Thanks Unreal.

I've never seen where they mount up close, but would it be possible to make a few very thin brackets out of aluminum? Drill the holes in a hidden lower location and then mount the skirts to the bracket in the "actual" location. I'm sure you could figure something out.

Not really. The skirts tuck right up to the rocker panel. A big problem with installing skirts is the break between the rocker and the front fender. The fender may not exactly aligned with the rocker. Normally you wouldn't notice it but then you install the skirt and once the straight line of the skirt lies along the two other pieces you can see the gap from a good distance away. That is one of the reasons for painting the skirts flat black. The finish hides a lot of fit sins.

As for the LGs they pretty much install the same way as all the others do. I am attaching the LG install guide along with how my Cianci (C7 Carbon) skirts look from below. The rivets are clearly installed in the part of the rocker that curves under the car. Still visible from the side but not quite as glaring as some people would lead you to believe.

Well from all the pictures and advice I'm getting, it looks like APR is the way to go. They look like they go under you car. Check out the picture. Looks like they're wide and bolt on under the car. True or not true?

Bill, that's a "file" photo of the Cianci (C7 Carbon) skirts, since you mentioned you are still going fiberglass, right?

Still going carbon fiber. Being led to believe the photo of the C7 side skirts are the same as the C6? I'll have to get a picture of the C6 skirts. I was told LG was the best but then I get a PM that says APR is better and cheaper. I was told they bolt on with existing hardware but I looked under the car and there's not to many bolts that will hold skirts on.

No the c7 corvette side skirts do actually bolt on underneath the car and have pre existing holes. Not like the C6 if that's what you're asking

So no matter what skirts I buy I'll have to drill into the side rocker panel on a C6 Z06

The way I see it, If your going to put side skirts on a C6 you will need to pop rivet them on, except at the very front of the skirt behind the front wheels where there are two existing bolts that are used. Also I viewed the LG side skirt instructions and even they also use pop rivets. So if you were told they attach to existing holes I'd like to see how.
