Few of the Canadian forum members make this an annual event.
Held in Smithsfalls Ontario Canada.. great charity event run
by some great volunteers.

We set a few records yesterday too:

- Largest number of people on the airport grounds in he 60+ year history of the airport with more that 5000 over the course of the day

- More competing cars than any other RtR

- 300% increase in display cars

- More than 100% increase in funds raised for charity over last year (numbers still being worked out)
...oh, and there is that small matter speed.

Fastest Standard Transmission Car in RtR History

Car 503: Dodge Turbo Neon
Quarter Mile: 12.75 Top Speed: 262kph (4kph over last years winning Aventador)

Fastest Overall Standing Half Mile in RtR History

Car 503: Lamborghini Super Trofeo Stradal built by Heffner Performance
Quarter Mile: 8.9 Top Speed: 330kph (72kph over last years winning Aventador!)
Most importantly, it was great to see everyone, drive fast and talk cars. Thank you all for participating and making this event an incredible success and a lot of fun.

The Carbon did pretty good for bone stock.

tough to get in if you haven't run before,,
all past entrants get first shot to register
and it's limited to around 80 cars,, but
they will put you on the waiting list,,,,

On the results page I provided Peter with the weather conditions for each run of the past three years...gives you and idea of how significant the differences were. The head wind didn't do us any favours this year, particularly compared to the tail wind we had last year.

Of course vehicles with greater frontal area (think Caddy sedan) are going to be hurt more by the head wind than those vehicles with small frontal area (think motorcycle, Neon, or Ford GT).

I left my 600rwhp Z at home because my daily driver V is actually faster at the 1/2. My 10.73 quarter was done without even putting my foot to the floor until second gear. I was kinda disappointed in my 254kph speed because I'm sure with last year's tail wind I would have gone over 260. I also got a little over heated before the first run this year because I had to wait for them to clear away the burned up Supra, that's why my second run was identical to my first. In fact the first run should have been about 3 kph faster. Oh well it was still lots of fun.

I spoke to Olivier and Jasen Heffner about the TTG and they were both convinced it wouldn't be too hard to fix, although they also have a spare one with a little more hp that was just about ready to go, so there's not a big a hurry to fix the crashed car.
