Default Closed exhaust valves at the track?

So local track has db limit, and im running headers and xpipe with no cats... So the car is pretty loud at wot... I can close the valves in the exhaust, but is that ok to do? Or that bad for the engine/exhaust?

You wouldn't want to hold them closed at WOT, and how would you do that anyways unless you have an aftermarket controller to keep them closed. I know on the dyno there is a solid 30+rwhp bump when the valves open, so it will definately slow the car down if you keep them closed.

I do have a contoller. I dont care if i loose power, its either me not going to the track and doing the speed limits, or loosing a few hp but having fun at the track.

So as long as there is no damage to the engine/exhaust, i have no issues closing them. I was just thinking it could cause backpressure to intease
