Default Best Stuff to Say at a Stoplight

Well I took my Z out tonight for one last spin before having my knee surgery this week. I pulled up to the stoplight with my window down, next to I think what was a Honda Civic SI or something. Looked like little brother had just washed it and made his newly licensed sister take him out probably. So the kid sees me in the blacked out Z and is just beaming. He looks at the girl in the driver's seat and says something like, "do you know what were supposed to say?". She shakes her head and he looks at me smiling and says "oh my god! I don't even know what I'm supposed to say!" For that matter, neither did I, so I just said "what's up?". He must have been car-literate because the Z obviously made his day. But for me, It was refreshing - I guess my 07 still has it! So what do you guys say to folks when stopped at the lights?

I usually compliment their car...if I can. Other than that I just say...thank you.

If it's modded I ask them what kinda work does it have done, followed by "it sounds good!"

But as for the Z, it lopes with the 110 LSA cam. Best thing ever was a smoking older blonde (40s) in a wrangler pulls up at a light and says "I just love that sound!" and drives off.

Since i got in the car game: "Thanks. I try to keep it clean". Dont know why but its a great way to break contact and carry on with my business.

Usually it's the opposite for me, I usually get ricers or lifted trucks trying to race at stoplights. Typically I have my windows down and just shake my head at them and roll my tinted windows up so they get the point.

Now if it's a compliment I say thanks and give a thumbs up or something of that nature. Usually this happens at gas stations or when I'm stopped in a parking lot not really while I'm driving though.

I usually just say thanks and return the compliment...by the way, best of luck brother on that knee surgery.

I always get "Is it procharged?" Which I say no, because it isn't.
