Does a Cam Only with Kooks Long Tubes, Kooks Catted Mid-pipe, and K&N intake making 522 RWHP sound about right?

Depends on the size of the cam. Must be pretty mild, as my mid range black panther cam made 510whp on a mustang dyno through the stock intake and manifolds. I did have ported/milled stock heads though.

Made 525 with LG 1 3/4 headers, milled heads .030 and super bee intake, stock cam.

I'm thinking it's been tuned, but I'm only making 522/460 with this setup with a pretty big cam. It surges at 1800 RPM and below. What power should I be making?

Do not have cams specs. I bought the car used from Peters Auto Mall in Raleigh.

P.S. I've been trying to find the previous owner, I bought it about 3-4 months ago.

The tune could be off especially if it surges. My LS3 made 513rwhp with a pretty big LG G6X3 cam. Stock heads and intake with headers, CAI,UDP and npp. Tune was spot on and did not surge.

I'm thinking it's tune related as well. I'm looking into getting it retuned by RPM Motorsports in Garner, NC.

Why are you so worried about numbers? Each dyno is going to be different

My h/c/I car with no changes made 540whp on one dyno and 610whp on another. It's just a tool used for tuning.

The dyno I made 540whp on a STOCK z06 made 402whp. That right there told me my car was fine

I know I had to make more then 520 if I beat an 2012 gt500 with a 2.3 TVS blower and full bolt ons by a car or two

I beat a gt500 with exhaust with a evo 8. Ya know what a 400 hp mustang runs? 12s. Ya know what a 600 hp mustang runs? 12s lol

Modified intake/Borla Stinger Exhaust.

As mentioned, every Dyno is different.

No headers! Value to HP gain was not worth it to me.
