Default Looking to buy a used Z06, anything to watch out for?

I'm in the market to buy a used Z06 (looking at 2006 and 2007). I have a 2006 Z51 car right now so I'm somewhat familiar with the C6 platform. I'm also a pretty good wrench and replaced the harmonic balancer already as well as a few other suspension parts.

Besides the valve guides and sometimes finicky caliper guide pins is there anything else to look out for on a used car? I would assume the harmonic balancer issue on the Z51 cars is probably also an issue on the Z06, but maybe not. I freaking love the C6 Z06, but since I have a C6 already I'm not in a huge hurry to pull the trigger.

Thanks,
Steve

Stuff I had to have fixed on my 2006, within first 35,000 miles, that you ought to consider:
-Harmonic damper flew off
-Roof replacement
-Differential creak at low speed turns
-Shifter vibration/noise/harshness
-Loose rear axle nuts
-Crap valve guides

Otherwise, it has been a pretty decent car. All except valve guides/heads was done under warranty.

Which is why I would never buy a Corvette in the first model year.

I have had no problems with my stock 2008.

Buy and enjoy.

I bought my 2007 Z new and now has 51,000 miles and my issues have been:

1. Leaking pan gasket (warranty fixed it)
2. Rattling shifter (warranty replaced it)

2006 with 50k on it. No problems, but I did have the heads replaced about 3k miles ago, just for peace of mind.

My 06 made it to 106k, before I head cammed it and drove it to about 118k miles and built a bigger motor for it.

Oil pan leaked. Seats needed to be replaced from wear.

Steering wheel sensor, roof recall, axle nuts, hydralic/clutch issues, tire wear and alignment, carbon pad in stock intake, etc etc.

I'm glad you actually drive your car, it's a waste to have these beasts locked up in a garage
