Default Quick Update on my Z!

Wanted to share this quick pic of my Z with the addition of flat black wheels and black top.

Currently with only a K&N FIPK CAI and Borla ATAK CB. Getting ready for some PRC portrd stoc castings, Cam, 1 7/8" headers and tune! Followed by a stand alone Nitrous system!

Looks good, now just needs a little lowering to get rid of the 4x4 look.

Got to work on Sat morning and lowered the Z on the stock lowering bolts. It lowered about 7/8th on the front and 1/2 out back. For me that's low enough and I love it!

Yesterday took her on a drive through HWY 16 over here in San Antonio to Fredericksburg TX "October Fest" on a very spirited drive through the TX back country hills and nice twisty turns! Here are a few snaps of the lowered stand!

Just a bit, enough for me it now it drags on our bumpy SA roads. Again, 7/8th front and 1/2 out back.

Quick update on this thread.

Currently doing a HCI upgrade on my Z. Been gathering parts for the last few weeks and I got started yesterday.

Just your common HCI with the following:

Heads - Stock castings with CNC port and guide work by Texas Speed and Performance
Decked .030
Stock Ti Intake Valve
Ferrea 2042P Exhaust
PSI LS1515ML Springs (140/405, 1.950 IH) (stock Steel keeper)/retainer)
BTR Push Rods

Intake - MSD Intake

TB - Nick Williams 102mm TB

Cam by me with Comp LSL lobes

Johnson 2110 SLR Lifters

ATI 10% UD Damper with ARP Bolt

All the other misc supporting parts, gaskets, etc.

Tune will be done locally here in San Antonio by Danny and his crew at Lethal Performance.

Trying to figure out which CAI will be better suited for my combo.

Suggestions?

I'll post some quick pics as I work on my girl Victoria.

Very nice. Are you doing the install yourself?

I'm down the road from you in Austin!

Its a shame you cant get Ti retainers for the 1515 springs...I think more would select these when paired with the right cam.

I agree. Ti would be nice! They are still lighter than the stock springs.

And if you check my old thread, the stock LS7 retainers are not much heavier (they are lighter than the old LS1 / LS6 retainers).

Nice , Lethal also did my H/C install/tune last year. I also had Texas speed rebuild my heads and mill them .030, Lethal was breeze to work with.

While yellow is not for me, the black on your car definitely makes it look better!
