BTW, one of the things I have always wondered is why folks don't put their locations on their profile so when they ask a question they can get a location specific response.

Reason I asked is my dealer,who I know and trust estimated $1200 to R&R,he said its cheaper to replace than repair.
Chevrolet shop pricing $2600 to rebuild (labor only),that's parts are on top of that.

I paid just over $1100 in parts and $600 labor. Removed and replaced myself. Its very likely that after you get yours disassembled it may need more parts than just second gear syncro and blocker rings.

I dont know your location, But I usually charge $800 to remove fix and replace transmission. Plus parts, 2nd gear synchro ring is only around $100 but most times you take out the synchro Hub assembly with it on the 6060.
