anybody know the cost to fix second gear syncro in a tr 6060,dealer or tranny shop.that means pulling trans,repair and reinstall.thnx

Check out ZF Doc's website. Of course you have to ship to Scottsdale, Az. But he has prices on there you may be able to find locally, although you probably can't find anyone you would trust to do your transmission more.

BTW, one of the things I have always wondered is why folks don't put their locations on their profile so when they ask a question they can get a location specific response.

Reason I asked is my dealer,who I know and trust estimated $1200 to R&R,he said its cheaper to replace than repair.
Chevrolet shop pricing $2600 to rebuild (labor only),that's parts are on top of that.

I thought a new tranny was approx 4k with core....I have not bought one, but just what I have observed reading threads...

I paid just over $1100 in parts and $600 labor. Removed and replaced myself. Its very likely that after you get yours disassembled it may need more parts than just second gear syncro and blocker rings.

I dont know your location, But I usually charge $800 to remove fix and replace transmission. Plus parts, 2nd gear synchro ring is only around $100 but most times you take out the synchro Hub assembly with it on the 6060.
