I asked because his profile says he is in Bakersfield CA. So unless he's going to sell the car out of state or moves out of CA, then he will have a lot of fun removing those mods every two years for the smog test. Either that or he "know a guy" who will look the other way for a kickback.
Plus I have been thinking about doing a few mods to mine, but I don't want to hassle with having to take them off to get it to pass the test here.

Looking forward to seeing the NA c6z's run. Last shift sector I was one of the fastest but this time there are a lot cars coming with new mods and more power. Going to make for some fun that's for sure

Set up with 17in Weld wheels and M&H skinnies and M/T ET Street II drag radials which is how it will be configured for Shift Sector 1/2 mile and T&T at Famoso Raceway 1/4 mile.

Nice.. I ended up making 650whp/580tq on a stock bottom end (dynojet) then added a 100 shot which bumped it up too 765whp/713Tq... Using 93 octane and meth injection.
These cars are fun to drive at that power level, especially on a Drag radial...
Congrats, have fun, and be safe
I'm running RTS's with 315/35r-17's Hoosiers with 185 M&H skinnies for daily driving

Drifting
I wanna know what everyone traps with these 600+rwhp NA C6Z's...? I make 624rwhp and 555rwtq... So far I've trapped 139mph... My car has a 140-141mph in it with some solid DA...

It seems like you Can't really compare 1/2 mile....So far from what I've saw from other events across the country most these h/c/I cars don't trap very good. It must be because of the elevation/weather but where we race its normally hot as hell and we still trap pretty good out here.

What kind of heads/cams are you guys running to achieve these 640+RWHP numbers? I'd love to have those numbers without spray. Right now I'm at 540 with a TSP LS7R cam only.

Guys,
Dennis's "silver bullet" is an awesome ride. That is serious power normally aspirated and its stout even with regular pump or a blend of pump and race gas.
With more compression and E85 it would have been even crazier....Im considering a flex fuel setup for my boosted 2nd Gen V which is my latest project. Adds even more to boosted cars with the cooling effect on the intake charge which is always high due to being compressed.
Anyway....I have really dialed in my program on the stock LS7 heads. Its a full CNC plus alot of hand finishing (chambers, bowls, short turns....all the critical transition areas) so while time consuming and not cheap the results speak for themselves. Jim Voyles commented it was the highest dynoing LS7 combo on his dyno (with the 2nd place combination sporting a much larger cam) and we all know dyno's (and flowbenches) are big barometers.....accurate comparisons can only be made on the same equipment to be of any scientific value. Jim did a good job dialing in the tune and I know Dennis is really pleased with the way it drives and behaves (cam is on the mild side all things considered).
Thought I would share the whole flow curve with you guys as the low and midlift numbers are just as impressive as the peak. Speaking of barometers and refence points, a stock LS7 on my bench usually flows 370-375 CFM on the intake.....220 ish on the exhaust.
Here is the set I did for Dennis
Lift......Int......Exh
.200....169....120
.300....252....173
.400....310....212
.500....356....245
.600....388....258
.650....398....264
.700....405....268
.750....408....271
I am actually building a copy cat set for stock so I can offer a customer the same set of heads with no down time on a core exchange deal. If any of you have an interest shoot me a PM or an email. My personal email addy is mamomotorsports@yahoo.com
Naturally I'm looking forward to the track results....high 130 trap speeds in So Cal would be a challenge but Im confident the car would turn that and more in Atco New Jersey or Englishtown.....any quality prepped track in the northern climates that has negative D/A's commonplace in the fall and early winter. No such air to be found here though....that's why track results are also hard to compare unless you factor in the dramatic effect D/A plays on the results. I'm speculating Dennis will be around 137 in the quarter with decent air here and a good run after he gets the car and new combination sorted out. I think he is more concerned with the airport 1/2 mile events lately and that should be interesting as well.
Anyway....Dennis....enjoy the new ride.....looking forward to the track results
Cheers,
Tony
