You trapped 139mph on a 28" tall tire...? Happen to got a time slip or video...? I haven't ever seen anyone trap that high on a NA C6Z with a 28" tall tire... All the guys on the fast list that trap that high with stock gears are on a 26" tire or they have a built C6 diff with 4.10's on a 28" tire...

Nope all stock drivetrain here Just a Mcleod RXT. I couldnt find the 139 timeslip just one of my really bad runs that you can use for refrence. This one I had bad wheel hop got off the gas and got back in and trapped 136 you can tell by my low 1/8th trap and how much i picked up on the back half. I will be going back to the track after I install a Holley EFI and retune and will post a new slip hopefully over 140 this time since ill be revving to 74-7500.

Guys,
Dennis's "silver bullet" is an awesome ride. That is serious power normally aspirated and its stout even with regular pump or a blend of pump and race gas.
With more compression and E85 it would have been even crazier....Im considering a flex fuel setup for my boosted 2nd Gen V which is my latest project. Adds even more to boosted cars with the cooling effect on the intake charge which is always high due to being compressed.
Anyway....I have really dialed in my program on the stock LS7 heads. Its a full CNC plus alot of hand finishing (chambers, bowls, short turns....all the critical transition areas) so while time consuming and not cheap the results speak for themselves. Jim Voyles commented it was the highest dynoing LS7 combo on his dyno (with the 2nd place combination sporting a much larger cam) and we all know dyno's (and flowbenches) are big barometers.....accurate comparisons can only be made on the same equipment to be of any scientific value. Jim did a good job dialing in the tune and I know Dennis is really pleased with the way it drives and behaves (cam is on the mild side all things considered).
Thought I would share the whole flow curve with you guys as the low and midlift numbers are just as impressive as the peak. Speaking of barometers and refence points, a stock LS7 on my bench usually flows 370-375 CFM on the intake.....220 ish on the exhaust.
Here is the set I did for Dennis

I am actually building a copy cat set for stock so I can offer a customer the same set of heads with no down time on a core exchange deal. If any of you have an interest shoot me a PM or an email. My personal email addy is mamomotorsports@yahoo.com
Naturally I'm looking forward to the track results....high 130 trap speeds in So Cal would be a challenge but Im confident the car would turn that and more in Atco New Jersey or Englishtown.....any quality prepped track in the northern climates that has negative D/A's commonplace in the fall and early winter. No such air to be found here though....that's why track results are also hard to compare unless you factor in the dramatic effect D/A plays on the results. I'm speculating Dennis will be around 137 in the quarter with decent air here and a good run after he gets the car and new combination sorted out. I think he is more concerned with the airport 1/2 mile events lately and that should be interesting as well.
Anyway....Dennis....enjoy the new ride.....looking forward to the track results
Cheers,
Tony

I'm still trying to figure out how he trapped that high with a 28" rear tire when no other NA C6Z has trapped that high on a 28"... All the guys on the fast list are on 26" tall tires expect the guys with 4.10's in a built C6 diff... Doesn't make any sense... He would only be at the top of 3rd gear just before the line... If he went to a 26" his mph should go up to about 143-145mph then...

haha I highly doubt that. There will be a Fiat there lol. See you Saturday
143 is pretty much impossible out there. Upper 130s is really getting it done in CA

Since im moving to a holley efi its going to move my powerband to the right a bit so no point in reving to 7k makes more sense to bump it up. More mph out of each gear ill take that. I plan on running nitrous in the near future.
Yep stock wheels with NT05R's and 3rd ends in the high 120's.

The issue is where I'm at, I've never seen a negative DA. It's rare to see anything below 1000+. The best I've ever seen Famoso on a race /TnT day is about 400-500+. That was once and it lasted for about 1/2 hour. By the time I entered the staging lanes it was about 800+. This was on a beautiful day in February, high 60s temp. We typically deal with ridiculously high DA (3000+) in the warmer (hot) months when the track is usually open for TnTs. It's closed through the winter months (Dec and Jan) when we could possibly see DA consistently in the low hundreds. Unfortunately we aren't blessed with the DAs you see on the eastern side of the country. Oh and btw, my suspension is completely stock, all bars attached. I just bolt on the DRs and skinnies and drive to the track, about twenty miles.

Well I'm all set for the weekend races. I've got the race tune in it and will be running a lot of 109 unleaded to avoid knock retard. I'm not running with the DRs and skinnies after all, as I'm concerned of possibly having to go into fifth gear if I run the shorter diameter DR tire. I'm having an issue with my tranny (unable to engage 5th quickly and synchro grind into third) after it was worked on by a reputable company whom I'm hoping will back their work when I send it back to them after the races. I'll be running the Michelin PSS, so no starting a run in first gear at slow speeds which worked very well for me with the DRs previously. The Michelins hook pretty well in 2nd once they are warmed up. I've got the rev limiter at 7500 so plenty of room to run it out in fourth. The car is running well.
