[Z06] Fuel pump options

Fuel pump options
might have to change my fuel pump out, was wondering what I could install without heavy modifcations to the fuel system that can support 600-625 RWHP? would a LPE high flow Z06 pump and BAP be good enough? I can find many direct pump replacements other than OEM or a areomotive steath which is over kill for me. has anyone done a walbro 400? there are not a direct fit and I dont't want to modify anything with the pump if I don't have to.

600-626 a stock pump will do that just fine with a BAP.

thanks dude. yeah I'm just gonna throw a new Z06 OEM pump in and re wire my BAP and racetronix harness properly with a 2 psi pressure switch. Do you think I should replace the filter/ regulator while I'm in there? It's suppost to be located by the pump in the tank?

He needs to go in the tank, so adding that isn't a good option. Well it is if he wants more power later but either way he has to go in.
No need to touch the reg. It is built into the pick up and not something that is really serviceable. You could replace it if you want, but no need. It is just a spring/diaphragm. Only fuel filter back there is the sock on the pump which would be swapped with the new pump anyways.

Mine is at Race Proven Motorsports right now getting the A&A fuel system. I have the A&A supercharger with headers and Akrapovic exhaust. I'm at 643RWHP and had some issues with my BAP. Now my stock fuel pump just went bad and I decided to do it right and be done.

wow someone in the same boat as me. my bap ran at 18v to my pump for a 3k road trip 24/7 and now my fuel pump had a stroke. one of my mechanics installed the bap with no pressure switch and I never even check like an idiot. live and learn, trust no one to work on your cars.

I took my stock sending unit out and bought a aeromotive stealth 340 and put in my stock bucket with out having to modify very much, you can buy those pumps offline pretty cheap and there good.

I would never touch one of those pumps. Too many issues.

Nope. A&A is just like the ECS kit.
You could do another factory replacement, just fix what you have, then add the ECS stage 1 kit. That is a great option if you can swing it.

Carter Fuel Pump
Interesting you go on Carter website (click to search for products near top) and you look up a fuel pump for a 2006 Z06 and it shows a pump that does 97 GPH which is like 370 LPH at 55 psi that part number is P76283M (GM Part Number 19133441) - if true that supports at least 900 hp. Any other (non ZR1) Corvette Z06 or C6 in any other year they show a P76284M. Carter is one of the few website that post specifications just click on that tab. The 284 does 81 GPH or 300 LPH @ 55 psi (they transposed the PSI and GPH) which is still very good. 300 LPH will support a 750 hp motor. I am wondering to standardize pumps for the regular C6 and Z06 in 2007 they just stuck with the 80 GPH pump which is more than enough for the stock cars.

Maybe it does fit
If you look at the pumps now any of the GM pumps fit those years. If you go to Walbro site they say 2004-2006 were the same but then they changes to the 476 model in 2007. On the GM parts they say 2006-2011 (AC Delco M10059). I am wondering if they just went to the other lower output pump in 2007 since that was more than enough - the Carter site is showing 80 gph even for the lower pump. My guess the same connections and everything just a more powerful motor. I would call Lingenfelter their pump number matches (they say for all Corvettes) the high output Carter AC Delco number - check out Rock Auto 2006 Z06 and you will see that Delco part number next to the Carter pump.

Get a walbro 450lph and add a BAP and that will handle over 1000whp and cost less then $400 if you do it yourself. If your interested send me a pm and ill send you the link where i bought mine for 160 shipped.
