Default Haven't seen any dropped valves lately!

So either everyone got their heads done or the 10% defect ratio has been complete...

As long as the stock crap valves are in these cars, then there will always be one more.

Default Valves

Had new GM heads put on 2 weeks ago. It was a good thing I had it checked. Mine were way out.[.026] My 07 Z06 has only 26,000 miles. GM picked up most of the cost. So fare the Dealer and GM have been good with the cost of repair's on this car.

You need a warranty or head work in my opinion.

There can be no doubt that many motors have been saved by their proactive owners.

Sweet, your car made it to 9705 miles. That is really something to be proud of.

Just hit 39k on mine, replaced heads at 19k miles that were 3-4x spec. Been making 800-1100rwhp since then with new heads, no issues.

Are we still saying "valves" or "bad guides that cause the valves to fail?"

With the low mile (<10k) cars that are obscenely out of spec vs high mile (> 30k) cars finally snapping them off with guides 3x the intended clearance. .. it seems suggestive of the "GM supplier screwed up the guides and now hollow stems are paying for it" theory?

Just curious as I've been out for a while.
