Default Symptoms of cats going bad?

HI all,

This morning after starting the car, I noted that it is appreciably quieter than it has ever been. I allowed it to warm up as usual, about 10 minute idle. When driving off, it sounded like I had the baffles partially closed. I say partially, because it wasn't really quiet, but also not very loud, kinda in between.

Well, that seemed odd, as the exhaust is normally very vocal with the flaps open. I have a switch for them, and I flipped it back and forth, and it did change the tone some, but again something seems off?

I went WOT once warmed up and noticed that the car was no where near as loud as usual. I normally have a visceral scream til redline, and now it is just a more muted version, not nearly as intoxicating as it had been.

So finally to my point: Is it possible, I have a partially clogged cat?

Setup:

Heads,cam, intake, akra exhaust. kooks header's w/cats!

They pee on your clothes or drag your clothes into the cat litter or scratch your suits

LOL...any credible possibilities?

On my way home today, it was louder, and the engine revved better. But once home, it feels like the right bank exhaust pulses are weaker than the left.

I still think it is related to the catalytic converters. I am going to swap in off road x pipe and see what happens...

I've melted a cat on another car. As soon as I got into the power curve (turbo car) it would fall on it's face. After checking for boost leaks and every other thing, found out the cat had melted and basically melted damn near closed. Took the cat off and all the power was back. It literally melted the cat almost closed

I'd be more inclined to think the NPP exhaust isn't working properly.

I had a cat go bad about 6 mos. after I bought the car new. The only way I knew there was a problem was that the computer threw a code.
